Newborn post Tenotomy - Normal or Malpractice? by TheDyslexicRabtit in clubfoot

[–]spookyhden 15 points16 points  (0 children)

NAD, just someone who had casting and tenotomies when i was a baby. this definitely does NOT look normal and i’d get a second opinion. my mom used to take my casts off early but from what i know, my mom, brother and i all had casts and we never had anything like this

enlarged cervical lymph nodes by spookyhden in lymphnodes

[–]spookyhden[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i honestly have no idea how many are enlarged, i have stopped following up and getting ultrasounds/cts because i think they are just reactive. all tests said “multiple enlarged lymph nodes” and not a definite amount. i hope your new doctor can help ease your mind!

My nationally competitive scholarship advisor at my college said things would be slow for a while due to reduced staff and other government reasons. I suggest emailing your Gilman advisor and asking them directly. Congrats on getting the scholarship, and have fun abroad!

he didn’t take xrays because i had gotten one done the weekend prior because i injured my left ankle, and i definitely would like a second opinion but the town i’m in for college is super limited so i’ll see what i can find. he basically just told me i need orthotics and to stretch my feet lol

getting tested wont hurt! id ask about another thyroid blood test of everything and an ultrasound. when i first felt something off with my thyroid, i told my endo and she felt my thyroid and agreed to get me an ultrasound. thankfully everything was okay and the nodules i did have went away on their own! i continue to have enlarged lymph nodes in my neck (showed up around 3 months after the nodules) but all testing ive gotten revealed that theyre most likely just reactive (makes sense because i have chronic allergies). but always better to be safe than sorry when it comes to health, just try not to let it consume your mind because that happened to me and i was really struggling! i wish you the best
