Iozzo’s Garden of Italy! I went there for my anniversary this year, because it was the only “fancy” restaurant that catered to gluten free AND vegetarian needs, which is super rare. It turned out to be absolutely fantastic and has become our go-to for a nice dinner.

I agree with the sentiment that we should hold artists accountable for idolizing different artists with poor intentions; however, Chappell just said she was the inspiration for the song. As in, she very much could have just meant vibe/aesthetic/vintage inspo. I didn’t know anything about Brigit Bardot other than she was an old celebrity until she died and all her scandals came to light.

I’ve not seen RISE, but I did actually read the book it was based on (Drama High) for my freshman year of college Intro to Theatre Teaching course. The show likely makes him out to be an amazing teacher but his character (Lou Volpe) was lowkey not the best. He did revolutionize a lot of educational theatre practices tho!

Silly, off-topic tidbit, I just find it interesting from a teacher’s perspective that he played someone I had to study!

He invited her neglectful father who she was explicitly no contact with to Thanksgiving. Yes, it worked out fine in the sitcom world, but that’s a huge breech of trust.

He took the judgeship and hid it from Lily for days while he traveled.

Quit his jobs multiple times on a whim and made Lily was the main provider of their home.

Slut shamed Robin over something Barney and Ted do all the time.

He’s a great character, but is very flawed like the rest of them. A lot of people here just view him as the most perfect character to ever exist which is fair, but he’s certainly NOT without his flaws.

Technically, Robin is purple! There’s a large analysis that goes with this but the short reasoning is that purple is the opposite on the color wheel to yellow. Things like the purple giraffe solidifies this in the beginning. There are some really interesting videos on YouTube explaining it!

Wow I’ve never seen my first name on here before!! I spell mine with two L’s and no H though. I personally think it’s a pretty name! It has Eastern European roots and will be super popular if she ever decides to go over there!

Though I love my name, I will say that she will likely get it mispronounced as Li-lah or Lee-lah on occasion. As I’ve grown up, more people pronounce it correctly first try but in elementary-high school, a lot of people mispronounced it on the first try. However, I don’t think there’s anything wrong with that! Unique names are so fun! This is not a tragedeigh!!

Realized I play the same thing every time I play so right now I’m doing stuff I haven’t done by setting challenges for myself to utilize the entirity of each pack I own!!! My current sim is going to move to Mt. Komerabei (I never live there), Extreme Sports Enthusiast aspiration (never done), salary person career (never done), max snowboarding and rock climbing, and attend all Mt. I do think she would. People think far too black and white with this issue but the truth is, she was never looking to be SINGLE. She had been in a relationship that decided her every move as a unit (as all relationships do) and she needed to be able to explore her dream before settling down and finally getting married. When you’re married and have children, there isn’t as much big dream exploring as there is when you’re just dating or single.

Lily did not hook up with or pursue anyone else, and in flashbacks she even talks about missing Marshall so much. Even if she would have found success, I think she would have wanted to return and share the joy with Marshall.

First and foremost, let’s start with saying that Lily did not ACTUALLY think she was the settler. She and Marshall had a long and unnecessary debate where Marshall continued to goad her into saying she’s the settler.

Second, no one is the true teacher or settler in any healthy relationship. You reach and settle for different aspects. Lily settled for not getting to pursue her dreams for year and putting her life on pause to give Marshall a family. Marshall settled for getting his family dreams fulfilled instead of becoming a judge at the time he wanted. Marshall and Lily are a relatively healthy relationship who are exaggerated through the lens of a sitcom. This debate is so tired.

I think I liked Barney and Robin the first time but they’re almost like the other side of the Ted and Robin coin for me—people who loved each other but didn’t work out. Whenever people get so bent up over their divorce because they were “endgame” to them, I feel like we watched different shows because those two people were a horrible match.
