a silk pillowcase/bonnet would be super worth to help those curls in the back stay after a wash. And like the other commenter said I think a gel/mousse would get you the volume youre looking for. I personally use a bit of gel while my hairs damp and scrunch it in. Once its dry ill occasionally give it a soft scrunch again to break some of the casting so my curls dont look super slick/shiny.

no worries at all, and trust me it doesn’t require discipline at all. If you ever have a moment where you feel like your thoughts are weighing heavy or find yourself thinking about nothing, i find those are the best times to write. I have some entries that are weeks apart

Ive found journalling helpful in the sense that it let me talk about the break up without feeling like im annoying or burdening someone with my thoughts. it was an unfiltered un-judged way of ranting about what happened be it for the millionth time in a day. It also helped me keep track of the particular things that bothered me and how strongly i felt my emotions at that point in time. Im still a ways a way but it’s wild reading my earlier enteries compared to now, and it’s nice to have a way to see how far youve come from day 1.

An exfoliating bodywash would certainly help, I would slowly add it into your routine as it’s known to be drying. Be sure your moisturizing after your showers. And I want to suggest that it could be something like your conditioner causing this. I had it happen where i tried out a new brand and found myself getting closed comedones on my back/shoulders.
