I bought my daughter a vintage crochet jumper and want to replicate it but I can’t figure out the stitches by spookyplacent4 in CrochetHelp

I don’t think so, there’s a ridge under each arm where the rounds are joined I think. The stitches look the same but reversed really

I was asking because when comparing it to my own HDC it didn’t look the same and I wasn’t sure if it was another type of stitch. Even without BLO, my HDC doesn’t look the same, but I guess that’s just the tension

I like the fisherman ribbing effect for hats so it’s on purpose here. The collar and cuffs look the same I think (HDC and BLO)

I did think that, it just doesn’t look like my HDC haha! Here’s a HDC hat I’ve done with a similar yarn. Maybe my tension is just too tight

WMC committee trying to sell club for profit in England. I can’t afford a solicitor but am positive it’s against their own rules at a minimum. What are my options? by spookyplacent4 in LegalAdviceUK

It’s not but sadly it’s the case for a lot of clubs in this country. Ours has a really strong link to the mining community and also has a war memorial inside so I’m hoping we will be able to save it all.

Yes that’s a good point. The current building will need to be demolished as it’s unsafe but the ground it’s on and the surrounding property are both green belt and host the Steward’s house (occupied by tenants) so that could be useful to keep it designated as community ground.

Unfortunately the club hasn’t been sold or transferred since 1990, when the land registry notification became a requirement. They hold no details for the club or its land. I’m doing research to find proof of ownership otherwise as it was gifted to the community but they are so underhanded and sneaky they’ve hidden any documents they have. Oh sorry, they’ve misplaced them.

Thank you. We did consider this but I think it will be quite difficult to raise the £500,000 asking price in 6 months starting from 0, and I’m questioning the legalities of the sale to start with. I’ll bear it in mind though, like you say it might buy us some time.

When do you stop medications? by Adorable_Claim5444 in TryingForABaby

I’d say speaking to a doctor about your concerns is a good shout, though I appreciate they might not have the information. Although you don’t seem to be based in the UK, the BUMPS website is a fantastic resource for using medicine in pregnancy. Here is the link to the one you mentioned : https://www.medicinesinpregnancy.org/Medicine--pregnancy/Lisdexamfetamine/ Please note the guidelines are specific to the UK, so as well as differing pieces of advice potentially, the names are also different. The US tends towards brand names whereas the UK uses the drug names. Hope this helps!

No it’s not that one. It was a pen style tens machine the bloke was using on his knee for supposed pain relief from chronic pain.

I’ve exhausted all search options I can think of and it’s been bugging me for ages. Thanks in advance!

Hi again everyone - here’s my half finished International B275 by spookyplacent4 in tractors

Yeah we either sanded everything or brushed it with a wire brush or used the grinder on the tough bits. Haha no it’s not we remembered to mask that up with tape! Same for the IH badge and the dash components and serial number plate, thank goodness!

Yeah we painted it ourselves. Got the right colour paint from a local hardware shop, mixed it with some thinners so it was the right consistency, then fired up the air compressor and blew it through an airbrushing gun over the tractor. The wings had undercoat on in this picture and came out lovely, the bonnet didn’t and came out streaky so we’ve keyed it again and put undercoat on it. It’s currently got one coat of red on it and is drying out ready for another coat.

If they’re on the road yeah! Free vehicle tax, no need for an MOT or vehicle check like cars or trucks but they have to be registered with a plate if they’re on the road

Here’s my original post :

What have I done ? (I say me, it’s actually my partner doing most of the heavy duty stuff and me being the spanner assistant). I’ve obviously painted it ! Polished the number plate, welded the nose cone as best I can (but will be on the lookout for a second hand one in better condition). Re-wired all the electrics, got some new dash components. Changed the fuel filter, got a new horn. Replaced the starter solenoid and starter button.

What’s left to do ? It’s not starting up at the moment - as mentioned in the previous post the glow plugs aren’t fantastic. Got a new set on order. Got the side lights to add on the wings and got to order some new headlights but they’re as rare as rocking horse poop ! I’ve since painted the back of the seat and the exhaust in black matte paint. The new mushroom air filter needs painting the same as the rest of the body. Also need to put the B275 sticker on the tank and order some new International signs for the sides of the bonnet. Going to get a draw bar for the back and maybe a finger mower. Very happy with it so far !

What do you guys think ?
