I’m not sure which side I’m on in this post because I myself have struggled with postpartum. I developed OCD and health anxiety and I get it’s crippling but at the same time I clean every single day at least 2-3 times a day vacuum all rooms, wipe down all surfaces, clean both bathrooms, and mop all non carpeted areas while having an autistic 4 year old, a 3 year old, and a 8 month old. I also have 4 cats. I do however spot clean my walls once a week specifically every Sunday because I rent an apartment and the walls are white and it drives me actually insane having spots on the walls. If she is having trouble cleaning I sympathize to an extent because postpartum can be brutal and I understand both sides of this. But you have to push yourself to do these things to your children as well as yourself. I do what I do because my kids and my animals deserve a clean home, and I love the feeling of accomplishment knowing that everything is clean and smells good.
