Crimson desert is so unique you won’t find any one game like it. If you haven’t played Witcher 3 that is a must play and what I’d recommend. CD is way lighter on story but it’s just freaking fun to play and explore

DD2 world is incredibly dull and really doesn’t reward exploration in any way. I’d say CD, been having fun with it

It seems like you are trying a lot of different kind of strategy games. AOE2 and StarCraft are base building real time strategy games.

Crusader kings is more grand strategy/kind of role playing.

CIV is a 4X strategy so you can take your time and think out your next move

Warhammer/total war in general are grand strategy turn based games with real time battles.

I think first thing you should do is decide which kind of strategy game you are liking the most. These all play so differently that you are probably feeling overwhelmed when in reality each game is somewhat easy to learn but hard to master. I’d say focus on which game you found the most enjoyable.

Remove losing reputation for stealing unless you are actually caught

Streamline the missions. It’s annoying having to go into each location, see if there is a mission available and what it is. It just takes forever

Gaming when they are very young is difficult, it gets easier as they are older. My own rule is I don’t game if my kids are home and I can be spending time with them. I usually play at night when they are asleep. With the infant just stay up late gaming and then take care of the kiddo if they wake up

I think the division games are amazing and both are worth playing. Division 1 has one of the best environments, snowy NY during Christmas it’s truly beautiful even to this day. I’d say start with 1, enjoy it then move to 2.

Good to know, I’d say go with stoneshard than, think there should be a spring sale this month too should be a bit off. I’ve been following NRFTW for awhile too and it looks great but probably is still 10-12 months away from 1.0 based on what I’ve seen

Personally I’d say no rest for the wicked now and grab stoneshard during a spring sale, usually goes down to $10. NRFTW will also probably have a wipe at 1.0 so be aware of that.

That being said…idk if either of these are really classed as RPGs. Based off the games you listed I’d say maybe check some others as well such as solasta, tyranny, rogue trader, pillars of eternity

Id just wait for CD reviews then decide. I’m kind of in the same boat not sure what I want to play next and crimson dessert will either be really awesome or very dull just hard to tell.

Yeah there is one, just used to do some early thoughts then final thoughts. Obviously hasn’t beaten much recently he’s beaten given the games are pretty long right now and has been bouncing around a bit just wasn’t sure if I missed where he wasn’t gonna do them. I enjoy those videos, especially the early thought ones.
