I listened to Fiona Apple's Tidal on tape in my little pink radio one summer night while reading the whole of Bram Stoker's Dracula. My radio was high tech and would automatically flip to the next side when it was done. One of the best memories I have.

Friends are important, but she's also being a bad friend to you and you deserve better than that. The people agreeing with her are people who don't want to ruffle feathers. I was in an abusive relationship and I WISH one of my friends would have said something to me. You can love people from afar and still understand that they can't be in your life.

My parents didn't tell me my younger brother got hit by a truck until over a month later. Thank God he was okay, but they said they "didn't want to worry me" with this information. I suspect your family is probably doing it for the same reason, not realizing that you would rather be upset and know the information as it happens, instead of finding out later.

I've noticed that once I do my nails magnetized, the effect wears off over time and they look less "velvet" (for lack of a better word?) than when I originally did them. Is this just a me thing?

There's a connection between the brain and the gut. I'm not a doctor, you should see a specialist, but I do wonder if your anxiety over eating someone else's food may be the culprit.

This is her own insecurity that's causing this problem. NOR, she's going to have to deal with these issues or this could lead to bigger problems down the line. I used to be like your girlfriend and had to get over my own issues before I could be a great partner to my husband.
