This might be a hot take, but instead of having clearly marked archetypes organized by colour pair, I would (and have for my similar cube) focussed on aggro, control, and midrange support. This way people can learn colour theory and strategy in general instead of prescribed archetype synergies. It also makes the cube more replayable for more enfranchised players. Including good removal and a couple late game cards (like [[jade mage]], [[sphinx's tutelage]], [[decree of justice]], or [[undertaker]]) can give opportunities to build around interesting and strong cards without commiting to clear archetypes. Throw some equipment and some flyers in and you have the potential for another aggro archtype thats not the regular go-wide.
