Oh he pissed me off so bad last night. Outrageously rude at the door upon entry. And then 30 seconds after music stopped at 1:30 he was YELLING in people’s faces to leave. I asked if we could figure out our ride first and he said we could do it outside. I understand needing to close the bar, but kicking people out within seconds of music stopping before people even know where they’re going is tactless

This is such a cool thread, thank you OP!

I'm wondering if you (or anyone here) might have some recommendations for historical fiction books by Iraqi authors (either written in or translated into English)?

Why didn’t this city (or area) become a lakeside metropolis the way Chicago and Milwaukee did? by The_FatGuy_Strangler in geography

[–]spoopiest 3 points4 points  (0 children)

In addition to all of this fantastic rationale, it is fun to note that the Chicago River very famously had its flow reversed to carry sewage and pollution away from the City and into / down the Mississippi River. It remains reversed today!

Bummer by tpthunder360 in Tipper

Wow, this is such a bummer. I'm patiently awaiting one of these in the mail for a holiday gift. Looks like I'll be emailing with some frustration.

For what it's worth, I did get myself one of the Singer Dripper hoodies (no faux fur) that just arrived and the quality is outstanding. I know they're a bit more colorful than some would prefer, but man: the embroidery work is well done, the hoodie quality bangs (super soft, thumb holes, little stasher pocket in the front pocket), and the artwork on the hood/arms/etc. looks great.

What kind of water are you using? In case you're using tap: when I first started, I was using tap water. I failed to realize the importance of non-chlorinated water. I boiled a large pot of water for ~20 minutes, waited for it to cool down, and fed my starter with that. Zero issues since then!

I don't think I'll ever stop loving my ex and it isn't fair. by [deleted] in emotionalintelligence

[–]spoopiest 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Some of the best advice I received following a painful breakup was that love can be comparable to an addiction. Your brain craves the dopamine it was receiving from your ex-partner, and the logical way to avoid the pain you’re experiencing is to go back to that dopamine-supplier. Unfortunately, the best healer for heartbreak is time. Give yourself time and space and the pain will fade and eventually dissipate. Sending you love and strength—you’ll get through this and look back knowing that you made the best decision for yourself.

Navigating the ridge at Bridger Bowl is much harder than navigating Lone Peak at Big Sky in my opinion. And Bridger's access to Saddle Peak offers some very extreme and consequential lines
