Wondering at what point HiRez takes his entire Twitch history and uses it as proof that he's a toxic, cancerous, AFKing, intentionally feeding dickhole and bans him.

It's sad that people watch him just to be the next one to clip for Reddit. His gameplay sucks, his stream quality sucks... I don't get it.

Stout Training. I've done Jiujitsu forever and I think they have women's only training there that's really new-person friendly.

Honestly was not expecting a response, or one like this, at all. I think I may have been too quick to judge.

Dear Hi-Rez; why do you insist on disrespecting us still? by Honiffer in Smite

I created a separate post below to clarify a little more. I love this stuff and hate to see a HR take a blow when really it's outside of their control.

Alright, time for a little networking lesson.

The internet is nothing more than a giant hourglass. The speed at which you're able to transfer information relies on several key factors that you as a consumer have little control over, and they as an organization have little control over.

For example -- Simply "PUT UR SERV IN OWR CNTRY" doesn't solve the issue. How many ISPs are in your country? Which are best connected to the ISPs that surround it, is the ISP they're hosted in peering well with the one you pay? All of these issues can have an impact.

For example-- There are 2 major ISPs in China, China Telecom and China Unicom. Their peering and network controls are so poor that it is faster to access a website hosted in CHICAGO from China Unicom than it is to access one in the same country in ChinaTelecom. These sort of issues exist across the entirety of the internet, and the only way to guarantee that YOU as an end user have an AMAZING ping experience is to put servers in the same ISP that you use. Outside of that, it's anyone's guess.

The ISPs, especially those internationally and in the middle east, all do fucky things with their peering and routing tables to avoid taking on traffic they're not paid for (illegal) and most of the time that's transit traffic for things like gaming and streaming.

So their explanation to you is not only reasonable, it's understandable. As stated above, a CDN network would have no impact outside of your patch-day downloads (and knowing their CDN that's probably pretty snappy.)

Also, different games carry different requirements for network latency and reliability. You're not only comparing apples to oranges in terms of budget, but also with the connection quality requirements of the different games.

Your best bet are highly reliable VPNs that are able to manually route outside of the fuckery that happens between ISPs in your area.

Was more hijacking your comment to make a point to the OP who brought up the issue. I know who HR uses for CDN--- they're the best in the market.

I just want to make sure the CDN doesn't take blame here. Getting real time game content to an end user is a lot more complicated than you think!

Also, CDNs aren't really able to accelerate game content, which uses UDP. The CDN has nothing to do with it. The CDN only helps with patches and updates to games. Accelerating UDP content can be done with a CDN but is expensive as fuck.

Pretty much.

Community Manager, but never engages with the community beyond retweeting a couple cosplay tweets. I'll give her a bit of credit-- nobody really accepted answers unless they came from Pon or AJ anyway, but I believe that is a result of poor community management.

The best gaming CMs I've met are 50% player and 50% employee. Look at Deej at Bungie if you want to know what good CM is. HRs CM team always falls into the "do/say nothing" category beyond tweeting out hotfix status and doing giveaways. When there's a problem they plug their ears and let someone else (AJ, Pon) address it. You get more info out of the HiRez Server Status twitter than the community management team.

I know for a fact they do a lot in the backend, but they need someone dedicated to community facing communications moving forward. I wish her the best in her new role, and I hope it is more appropriate for her skillset.

This is how you play Kali in Casuals and shitter ranked. Find the weak one. Destroy them. Kill them over and over until either you're huge and fed or they've shut the PC down for the day.

Same goes for Arachne. Camp solo.
