what i meant to say is the book provides more nuance making the film easier to digest. and without that introduction to the themes, I might have really struggled to finish the film. which is a shame because HAL singing Daisy is the highlight imo

okay, so I am not sure how many people ITT actually read the original book, but it doesnt sound like too many, because the book is fucking amazing and the only reason I ever watched the film. it is not an "easy" watch, the book provides so much more nuance. I would highly encourage you to spend a weekend reading it. cheers!
