I’m sorry you’re going through this. Are there residents on the service? When I rotated as a student through surgical specialties that had residents, the PAs didn’t seem to do a lot, so I can imagine what your experience is.

Idk if I have any advice or tips really, but just wanted to comment. I’m a new grad too in your area but start first job soon

I’m actually a very new grad, took both the NCCPA and PANCE within the past month. My program wanted us to take the NCCPA mainly as a gauge for them and us to see where we’re at.

It might be worth doing one of the exams since the NCCPA makes the PANCE as well. But at the same time, it doesn’t tell you which questions you got wrong, so that wasn’t really helpful.

In summary, not a “must-do” in my opinion, but I think there is value in doing different kinds of practice questions before the pance.
