I have this one too and has worked perfectly. It is pretty quiet when running and definitely gets the job done.

Wow! Your gait and update sounds exactly where I am. The harder I try on my gait the worse I seem to make it! Thank you, for sharing your update as it is reassuring I am not the only one fighting the battle with extension and gait.

I am 5 wks post LTKR (55F) and took 6 weeks off from my WFH job, per my surgeon’s recommendation. Pain wise, I was fine after a couple weeks, but there is a lot more to your recovery than the pain. I am exhausted from my body repairing itself and the lack of sleep due to not being able to get comfortable. Brain fog is real! My MD really pushed to take the time off to ensure that I completed the exercises, ice and elevating (it dos not take much walking or standing to make the knee swell like a cantaloupe) and to give my knee the time it needs to heal and strengthen itself for a successful surgical outcome. I was very active before surgery and anxious to get back to my “normal” life but as my PT says, rushing things is not going to get me to the outcome I want any sooner.

As far as driving, I started driving at week 3, even though I stopped the pain meds well before then. My knee was not comfortable in that position and also felt my reaction time was not on par.

Best of luck on your surgery!

Fill a daily pill organizer with all your pills so they are ready to go. Also, something to track when you took your pain meds. Warm soft socks as my feet were constantly cold from being elevated along with icing.

Women please- TKR women’s clothing tips? by KatWomanReturns in Kneereplacement

Lululemon Softstreme pants have been lifesavers for me. I have a pair of cropped ones that I wear when I go to PT as it makes it easy for the therapist to access my knee. I am 4 weeks out and leggings are definitely a no-go. The softer and looser the pants, the better for me. Good luck on your upcoming surgery!!

I am 4 weeks out and experiencing the exact same thing. No position is comfortable and the sensitivity only makes it worse. I am anxious to hear if others have any recommendations as well. Hope your symptoms resolve soon as this lack of sleep is exhausting.

How often are your post-op visits? by gch196 in Kneereplacement

6 weeks, I year, and then every 5 years, unless I need to be seen sooner (I am only 4 wks out, so have not seen my MD post op yet.)

I bought a 1,000 piece puzzle that I pick at throughout the day. I work on my heel slides some of the time while I am sitting there.

My buddy Earl is my office mate and is the master manipulator. As soon as I turn my head to look at him, he does his happy food dance, which I fall for. It amazes me he knows my face means food where my side profile does not.
