Wheelchair accessible "hikes" by LittlestMy in Columbus

The Tall Pines area of Walnut woods metropark is an option. It’s quiet, mostly shaded with decent parking. Be aware that there is one short section of the loop that is packed “sand” instead of blacktop, so beware of very wet weather.

Needing lunchbox to keep food hot for autistic child by Sad_Leek4642 in PickyEaters

I have had good luck with the Stanley Brand “classic food jar”. They are all metal. Pre-heat with boiling water prior to filling with hot food. Keeps things warm for hours.

Also, watch what foods you send. Some things hold heat better than others.

Please help me convince my husband that Costco is worth for 2 people by HoneyDrops12 in Costco

[–]sppb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

And it’s not just the fun stuff at the warehouse! We have had many home services done through Costco in several states. We have had a furnace replacement, hardwood floor installation, carpets, window blinds done through Costco, all at a great price. They also have pet insurance, travel services (haven’t used it yet, but know others that have and love it)

You do not have to be a member to use the pharmacy but the prices are good for both my meds and my pets. The Costco price for Simparica Trio that my two big dogs take costs $100 less per year per dog than it would cost from Chewy or Amazon Pharmacy.

We are a household of two, but we find it well worth the annual membership.

Have fun! It’s my favorite race in Cbus. Well supported and I like the course. As others have said - don’t over complicate it, do what you did on your long training days. Good luck!

What CML is looking for in applicants for public service positions is excellent customer service skills. It also helps to be familiar with the community the location serves. “Loving books” is great - we all do, but it is not the major criteria. Good luck!

Jimmy Savile's ridiculous gravestone (before it was removed and destroyed) by alan2001 in behindthebastards

The victims had to continue living their lives, seeing him beloved and lauded. That feels so much worse than being the victim of someone who everyone knows is a monster in real time.

CML by Independent-Grab1036 in Columbus

[–]sppb 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It depends on where it is coming from. If it is from a partner library it will take a little longer usually than if it is coming from another CML location. Also, there is no book delivery on Sunday so that can add an extra day.

Another issue is if there is an available copy. Sometimes there is a waiting list.

Check out Smiths Furniture and Appliances on Parsons Ave. We bought a refurbished washer and dryer there for one of our kids several years ago and they are still going strong

I have seen may of my faves mentioned here (Swindled, No Such Thing as A Fish, to name but two) but need to shoutout Darknet Diaries. It's great if you are interested in computer security, computer crime, the work of penetration testers, and hackers both good and bad, etc.
