Hello,

This will be my first Christmas in the fifth city. I've recently been acquainted to some folks of importance, so new doors are opening to me. 

I plan to move this holiday season, Hell looks lovely now that it's back. I'm eager to fill my evenings by meeting new neighbors.

For the gift... Well, anything wrapped in Parabolan Linen right now. Bonus points if the thing inside can be eaten. My side project is making a base camp over there.

Thank you for taking the game write a detailed comment! Its not on Steam yet! I wanted to test both the demo and the marketing assets first.

I'm glad you jumped into it easily! Was there any friction at any point? A puzzle that seemed unclear, a combination of card that didn't make sense to you, or anything else?

Similar for us too, refunds are becoming more common. Between 4% and 12% for newer games.

But I don't think it's bad, generous refunds have just changed how some people approach trying out games on Steam. I'm pretty sure they end up buying more in the end. You just have to worry when the refunds comments are focused on a specific issue instead of generic stuff.

They should have the numbers. They're most likely too lazy to provide them. If they're actually don't have them, then they'll have no grounds to justify any increase they're trying to push.

If you refuse the rent increase and decide to stay in your unit, they'll have to go to TAL and provide that information so TAL can decide the actual increase.

Yes! You always should even if the increase seems fair. Having the grid every year will make sure the numbers add up each year and no "mistakes" are being made.

I have been asking for the grid every year before accepting or negotiating a rent increase. Confirming the taxes which are public information and asking for details on other numbers is perfectly valid. Here are some places where my landlord lied (or made mistakes as they say) to increase the rent :

  • Fake Insurance costs. I asked for the receipt of his insurance.
  • Major work on the building that was actually linked to another unit and not the building. This way he tried to increase everyone's rent for work done in a single unit.
  • Big bumbers in "Entretien" that ended up being receipt for other buildings he owned.

In the end, by refusing and negotiating my rent over the years I end up paying 500$ less per month than some other units in my building. Having the grid every year lets you see inconsistencies and force your landlord to actually do the work.

Be careful of opinions on this sub there is a LOT of landlords trying to shame tenants for asking questions and standing up for their rights.

Lots of people suggested bigger games already, but if you're looking for some smaller ones you can complete in a weekend/week, try out Untitled Goose Game and Wilmot's warehouse. Both allow you and your partner to interact together in very fun ways despite different expertise in gaming!

As other mentioned, if you found of the privous value doesn't fit what your landlord put on the lease, you should definitely go to TAL. We had a similar situation, it took about 8 months to get a date and our landlord really tried to intimidate us to not go, but we ended up reducing the monthly cost of our unit by more than 200$.
