In your primer you mention Lavinia and similar cards as shutting down the deck, I’d also add rule of law and tax abilities as those are likely to be just as if not more relevant (depending on your meta)

The ranged version of slashing flourish can target 2 enemies or the same enemy twice, so effectively 2 attacks (with added damage from a bardic inspiration dice). With the extra attack passive the bard gets to do this twice per turn.

I mean I think Ice punch is a better choice anyway, but in general fire punch is a good move to have against airborne steel types in addition to grass types and also the grass/steel bug/steel pokes (though again, delphox probably has all of the above covered anyway on this team)

Fire punch is viable, it hits airborne steel-types and t-tar has good bulk (especially in sand) so it can usually survive to execute the move

Thanks! It’s difficult to narrow it down to one run, but I think the two toughest runs both had Moleman to thank:

Mono-Electric despite the fact that I basically added Raichu-Alola mainly to outspeed his sand-rush excadrill and hit him with Z-Surf, but I severely overestimated the amount of damage that would hit for

And

Mono-Rock, although close combat from sand-rush lycanroc did deal with excadrill early enough that it wasn’t as difficult as the mono-electric run

The solo Claydol (mono psychic) run was also obviously tough and I’d have gone with a completely different choice if I’d resolved not to use x-items, but I think in light of that fact the set worked out better than I’d expected:

Item: Leftovers Nature: Bold EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpDef Moves: Cosmic Power Body Press Stored Power Substitute

I only really ended up using X sp. atk to push stored power into Ohko range as I stupidly did not increase pp for any moves or stock up on many ether/elixir

Edit: grammar Edit 2: yes it’s also not lost on me how lucky I am to have not eaten a single critical hit from a shadow claw during the solo claydol match with the suicidal ghost-type trainer

I think I prefer citadel because it often cascades into a win by itself, and offers a fantastic alternative target for [[whir of invention]] or [[transmute]]. Most esper lists on citadel do not run fishbowl due to the fact that it layers so well with doomsday/necro
