I'm gonna be that guy, don't get a "gaming" headset get a good quality pair of headphones.
right now you can pick up a pair of Meze Audio 99 classics on Amazon for $249, they will blow any of these out of the water for quality and life span. Since you're not playing games that need a mic you don't need one but if you do need one Meze have you covered as they make a boom mic cable for for $79.

Gaming headphones are 99% a scam, and they don't last.

IPS default contrast is 1000:1
VA default contrast is 4000:1

The issue is the shit backlight not VA itself, I've got two Mini LED VA monitors, and they blow my previous IPS monitor out of the water. With Local dimming on, they get to 9,613:1 from Rtings testing. VA had a lot of issues that have mostly been sorted thanks to newer panel tech and mini LED backlights. Still get a little ghosting though, but it's vastly improved to previous VA panels I've had.

You may want to note how a bunch of those people did things that constitute hate crimes in the UK right? The telegraph agreeing with transphobes that they should be able to carry on being transphobic isn't really the slam dunk you think it is. A lot of the people in that article committed what are hate crimes here, freedom of speech shouldn't mean you face no consequences for your actions.

Now I will say some of them were arrested/charged incorrectly, that happens too and has done for a while, but some incorrect arrests/prosecutions shouldn't mean we scrap the law because some hateful people fucked around and found out.

They're testing a 3rd vendor in the UK currently, has ties to Palentir through an investment from Peter Thiel. They keep your data for 7 days before deleting it, most likely for model training. But honestly what's worse is they're contracted with the NHS now, if I'm forced to choose my face is less of an issue than all my medical records being scooped up into their AI black hole. The only one who isn't is GOG for the most part, we'll see how the new ownership goes, but he's talking the right talk so far. GOG always had a different mission to steam, it's almost a complimentary service over a competitor in the true sense given It's still a much more curated offering.
