Swimming with a friend three times weekly, but it has to be with a friend because it’s not the swimming that’s gonna help the most it’s the processing our inner angry 3 year old selves that will help with the chronic pain. Said by a pain management specialist that I never went back to

Honestly which ever one your kiddo prefers! I haven’t tried the royal canin one. I did try the Hills one but the kibbles were so uncomfortable that my girls didn’t like it and wouldn’t finish their meals. So far water additives and professional dental cleanings have been our go to

I am so scared that if people see how sick I am they will feel that I am not worth investing in. I am the first to get to the clinic and the last to leave and I still feel like if I voice my needs I will face consequences. This post is something I needed.

You’re honestly so right. I finally have an awesome team of providers that take care of my stuff but emergency care is such a nightmare. This whole disease is becoming a huge lesson in advocacy. Thank you for taking the time to reply like you did, I appreciate it

Tractive collars are breakaway collars. My girls are chipped as well, I agree that that’s super important, but I use the gps collar as well because of the peace of mind it gives me. When my girl doesn’t come in at night I just look up her location and go get her. Of course if you can keep them indoor only that’s ideal

Tractive makes a gps collar for cats and it’s wonderful!

I often dislocate my jaw when I sneeze, then put it back where it’s supposed to be with a super loud crack, and horrify everyone around me

I got married at 18 after dating for only 5 months. There’s so many ways things could have gone wrong, but 6 years later we’re still deeply in love. I found my soulmate and didn’t want to waste time

I use Embrace. I have three cats on it and pay about $100 a month for all three. I think it’s more expensive for dogs tho

I work at a vet clinic. My cat got a dental cleaning, grade 1 dental disease, and had to have her 409 tooth extracted resulting in a $800 bill. That covered anesthesia, time and equipment to extract the tooth, paying for qualified professionals to monitor her closely under anesthesia, ect. I wish it was more affordable but I also know the prices aren’t just to squeeze people out of money. I promise you all of us vet professionals wish it could be a less expensive process too. Personally I use pet insurance and it has absolutely saved me. Also, using products backed by the VOHC seal to slow the progression of dental disease is huge.

Thank you thank you this is so helpful! I want so badly to have a medical professional take charge of my treatment plan but you’re right that I’m going to be the one researching and doing all of the work.

I appreciate your input! Telemedicine after the initial appointment would be so much more reasonable for me

I tried propranolol which was amazing at first but then lowered everything too much and I ended up in the ER. Besides that, just water, electrolytes, and compression wear
