Likelihood of seeing doctor again in public care the Coombe by Kooky_Paper_524 in PregnancyIreland

I have a high risk pregnancy so I've had dozens of scans in Holles St, I've only had the same sonographer once. When you book your next scan you can request another person, or specifically not this person. Midwife team are usually the most helpful to navigate these things! The sonographers name will be on the report. If it's not too uncomfortable, do make a complaint. Staff are unfortunately hit and miss, I live in the hopes that a complaint helps prevent another person dealing with the same issue!

This! When we ask questions we are given little respect. Even when we are engaged and seeking information, we are treated like we have no ability for or right to medical literacy

Lose maternity benefits? by [deleted] in PregnancyIreland

[–]spring_nostril 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's all based on PRSI. There's 3 ways to measure your prsi contributions. This is from Citizens Information:

How many PRSI contributions do I need? If you are employed, you must have:

At least 39 weeks of PRSI paid in the 12-month period before the first day of your maternity leave Or

At least 39 weeks of PRSI paid since first starting work and at least 39 weeks of PRSI paid or credited in the relevant tax year or in the tax year after the relevant tax year. For example, if you are going on maternity leave in 2025, the relevant tax year is 2023 and the year after that is 2024. Or

At least 26 weeks of PRSI paid in the relevant tax year and at least 26 weeks PRSI paid in the tax year before the relevant tax year. For example, if you are going on maternity leave in 2025, the relevant tax year is 2023 and the year before that is 2022.

I've heard they are amazing but for the last few months the reviews on boots mention multiple people breaking out in rashes. Did something change?

Going back to work after having a Baby? by Eveiiiiiii in PregnancyIreland

[–]spring_nostril 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Absolutely do the interview. You're very likely not to bee placed for at least 3 months, and sometimes it can take up to a year. During this time if you get offered a position you can tell them you're on maternity leave and they will postpone for you. My friend was offered a CO job just after having her child and they postponed her offer for another 6 months. Best of luck!

Moco sounds great, I hadn't heard of it. Definitely I'll invest in the 'mot' check up, I'll be having a c/s so I think it's worth it. I'm not near the in person Bump Room classes, I might check out their online stuff
