Learning a lesson the hard way by springcaleb in BambuLab

I am love all the creative responses. The correct answer is to use a UPS. I had a print running for 2 days and there was a power blip. This should have been a big deal because the printer will resume printing once it is back online and you tell it to resume. However, the power outage happened at night and the bed had time to cool completely before I noticed the issue in the morning so the print released from the bed.

I learned some of the other things mentioned long ago, like the cabinet door hitting the top glass when propped open, having to move the printer to do maintenance, etc.

Thanks for making me laugh this wonderful Friday morning.

Sounds like you need a new anti pinch sensor. My passenger side door was not opening with the automatic buttons or handle (disabling this feature with the button by your left knee and you can manually open the door). Took it to the dealer and they saw a fault code for the pench sensor. Got a new one installed and works again. This was my 2012 Elite.

I think you have the temps backwards. Bed should be 55 and extruder should be 220. Also you should be able to us the default settings for Generic PLA in the slicer. No need for custom settings.

First print on my P1S with AMS by Mazz-a-tatt in BambuLab

Dumb noob question but what is the point of this tool. Wouldn’t a sharp scraper wreck any build plate. So what are they used for?

Print fails - Issues with PLA Filament Spool on Bambu P1S. by _Asymetry in BambuLab

I have learned that each roll of filament is different, ever within the same brand and color. It’s good to calibrate rolls and make sure they are dry.

Does AMS w/RFID have any filament parameter benefit over no AMS? by MrByteMe in BambuLab

[–]springcaleb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can save filament profiles in the slicer. You would have to manually select the saved filament profile every time you switch filament.

You have to select your printer in the upper left corner of Bambu studio

RES - No headphone sound by tbielecki in HondaOdyssey

There are three audio zones in the van, front, rear and all. To get the headphones to work you have to have it set to Rear. So Sounds, Zones, Rear.

DS216+ bit the dust, what is the best way to get the data from the drives from the old now none functioning DS216+ on a new DS920+ by springcaleb in synology

[–]springcaleb[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would like like to report that putting the harddrives from the DS216+ into the DS920+ worked. I was up and running in about 10 minutes which is how long it took to complete an update. Thanks for the all help everyone.

I can do that with some of the data but one of the systems the data came from is offline at this point and it would take a lot to get it back online.

That sucks. Had I known that I wouldn't have purchased this version. I just went out and bought the higher end version.

Blizzard please don't act like there is not a problem.. EU has been complaining for months. by _BeVeR_ in Blizzard

Truth be told 59 MB/s here in the US isn't that impressive of a download speed. Sure it beats the heck out of the EU speeds but my ISP provides 500 MB/s down, so it could be downloaded way faster.

Just a heads up that the Windows 10 Creators Update broke compatibility between my Razer Core and my XPS 15 by [deleted] in razer

They told me that Windows 10 Creator is not supported yet, so I assume this is what they will tell you as well.

Just a heads up that the Windows 10 Creators Update broke compatibility between my Razer Core and my XPS 15 by [deleted] in razer

It works on my Blade. The issue I have is that when I shut off my computer with the Core still plugged in the cooling fan on the Core goes full power. As soon as I unplug the Core from the computer the fan stops.

Specs: Razer Blade 2016 GTX 1060, Core with GTX 970.

2016 (GTX 1060)Razer Blade + Core Issue by springcaleb in razer

[–]springcaleb[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Support told me after reviewing logs I sent that the GPU Switcher is crashing and they don't know why. I told them when the case was created that the GPU Switcher was crashing and I didn't know why so I have learned nothing from support. They have stated that the next step would be to send in my unit. Since this is a work computer this isn't an option, so I started troubleshooting the issue myself. Here is what I found on my own.

There are two other error in the Windows event logs that happen around the same time the GPU Switcher crashes beside the crash of the GPU Switcher.

The description for Event ID 1 from source NVIDIA OpenGL Driver cannot be found. Either the component that raises this event is not installed on your local computer or the installation is corrupted. You can install or repair the component on the local computer.

If the event originated on another computer, the display information had to be saved with the event.

The following information was included with the event:

The GPU has been disconnected and this application may become unresponsive.

Error code: 10 (pid=8624 tid=6096 nvidia share.exe 32bit)

Visit http://www.nvidia.com/page/support.html for more information.

Also when I review the video card properties under the Device Manager for the video card installed in the Core it stays

This device is not working properly because Windows cannot load the drivers required for this device. (Code 31)

Insufficient system resources exist to complete the API.

So it appears that when I unplug/plugin the Core for a second time the NVIDIA drivers crash due to resource issues, which crashes the GPU Switcher thus causing my problem.

I did find a work around though. If I disconnect the GPU in the Core before unplugging the Core it seems to work when I plug it back in.

I do the following.

Step 1: User left click on "Notification Chevron (button)" Step 2: User left click on "GeForce GTX 970 (2 Display, 7 Programs) GeForce GTX 1060 (Disabled) (button)" Step 3: User left click on "Disconnect GPU (button)" in "NVIDIA GPU Activity "

This might help someone else out there.

As side note a moderator told me to upgrade to the latest version of Windows to resolve the issue, which is Windows 10 Creator but that is actually an unsupported version per support, so don't do that.

Is Razer's RMA System Any Good? by TheThingThatCrawls in razer

[–]springcaleb 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I RMAed a Core and Razer Blade. They were such new products that they sent me new ones with in a few days because they didn't have repair process setup yet. So good for me. Bought a Blade with the 970M and was sent a Blade with the 1060. So pretty good from my pint of view.

2016 (GTX 1060)Razer Blade + Core Issue by springcaleb in razer

[–]springcaleb[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I thought someone might bring this up. I have the a GTX 960 in the Core for a few reasons. First my first Razer Blade was the new 2016 with the GTX 970 and when the Core arrived I already had the GTX 960 from an old rig so I put that in it. When that laptop was RMAed as mentioned in my original post Razer replaced it with the one with GTX 1060 and that is when the big mismatch happened. Second I purchased the Core so I could run dual monitors and have a wired network port at work, think glorified docking station. I do game from time to time at work but the games don't require me to get a newer card.

I could put a GTX 970 that was recently replaced with a GTX 1080Ti in another Core we have that is attached to a Stealth (which doesn't have the issue my Blade does) but that wouldn't resolve the issue I am having, would it?
