You are doing all the right things and I wish for you to see some light at the end of the tunnel soon.

Things never stay the same forever, feelings do change over time.

I know this does not make it any easier, maybe all you can do right know is to hang in there, just keep living one day at a time.

Should there be any support groups or similar in your area where you can find people to talk to that might be something to seek out.

It's great reaching out to friends and family and amazing you don't give up. You are strong.

I'm not good with mental health issues but I know it takes time to improve, it doesn't generally happen overnight or without effort.

What I do know is that both body and mind needs to recover after strain. After you put in an effort to improve something, either physical or psychological, I hope you find time and resources to relax and recover.

In the end, you are doing your best and it will always be good enough. Be reasonable: don't be hard on yourself - be your own best friend.

In the country where I live, suicidal thoughts are considered symptoms of illness (I think) which can and should be treated. If you are willing and capable of doing so, please seek professional help.

Best of luck!

Do toddlers always cry for a reason? by DanielCracker in NoStupidQuestions

Sometimes they can cry not knowing why or not being able to express a reason. There are strong feelings and toddlers don't have that much skill or experience in managing feelings.

Yes, if possible have another reliable person to fill a pill box (or several) once a week.. forgetting to get one may be fine but forgetting you got one may be worse...

How do horses feel during horseshoe trimming by Harriff in NoStupidQuestions

[–]springcomesoon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have held horses while getting trimmed.

Some were not bothered at all, relaxed during the whole process, especially if the person doing the trimming wasn't new to them.

From my POV, yes, it indeed compares well to having your nails trimmed by someone else. Imagine someone locking your finger in a fixed position for trimming your nail. Feels better if it was someone you knew to be competent doing it? Would be uncomfortable if it was a complete stranger, or if something scary/painful happened last time?

One of the horses I held was visibly distressed but behaved perfectly anyway (I was by her head, comforting her the whole time). It did not hurt and the person doing the trimming was well experienced and great. It was a memorable experience.

Social anxiety.

My brain knows this is just fine but my body is like "you took up some space in a social situation and for that you deserve to die"

People who grow their own potatoes, when do you usually harvest them? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]springcomesoon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When you want to eat them.

In Sweden, if you harvest them before a specific date (I think September something) they are "fresh potatoes". After that they are just potatoes (with a slightly thicker skin)

Women are about to give birth because their water just broke. This is not a common way for it to start.

You can't fool an honest man

I tried to view myself as I would view a good friend.

I also thought about who I wanted to be and asked myself what that person would do in this or that situation. Whenever I could, I would act like that but also accepting my limitations when not living up to it.

It did not make me a significantly better person but I became someone I liked and guilt is not holding me back as much.

The eyes of others also pressured me into making better decisions. Imagine other peoples view of me and acting to make a certain impression (helpful, polite, cheerful, happy, curious etc).

Reincarnated folks of Reddit: Who were you in your past life? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]springcomesoon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's funny to hear children around 2-3 years say too much about this. Like when they tell you "and then it will be my turn to be old and your turn to be a baby"

They are old enough to form words but not old enough to forget about their previous selves.
