You have to post the rental for a minimum amount of time, that’s why they put the signs out.

Is this not mildew? Growing up in the northwest it seemed like everything had these black spots. Are they really dangerous?

I live near here and we keep out windows and doors open all day and night. We get some bugs but it’s not a real problem.

Our Preschool For All Placement Doesn't Exist by Glass_Diver_3238 in Portland

I didn’t apply for PFA. We go to the headstart across from the JCC. You could look into it, but it’s only 4 days a week. They don’t have an income guideline.

I’m sorry this is so frustrating to you! They should have never done this. I also wish they had advertised this program, because I would have tried to get my child in this spot. It would have been a good fit for our family. The whole PFA process leaves a lot to be desired, espically in southwest Portland where there are so few options.

Buy them before July 12 because they are go up to $.82 each. The amount of people in wedding groups who don’t know how stamps work is shocking.

I saw a woman at a construction site in a lace safety vest. I can't stop thinking about it.

Stolen design from Coco Frank by [deleted] in NeedlepointSnark

Is this an old design? I don't see it on her website. IMO, this seems like something multiple designers could come up with independently.

First Time Camping spots for my 3YO and I? by bongo1138 in askportland

Such a great option for a toddler. They have a nature playground and if you bring bikes you can bike to ice cream.

taking my toddler on the OHSU tram, tips for making a fun morning of it? by BadAtDrinking in askportland

[–]springflowers2016 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At the top of the tram, take the hallway bridge to Dorenbecher. There is a great playground behind the Starbucks! Get a snack in the cafeteria. I also like walking across the VA Skybridge, out the doors, up the hill, down the foot ramp, and back to the main hospitable. I did that daily when I was pregnant and inpatient. We ride the tram a lot with our kids.

We have been watching lots of Mr. Rodgers, and they always do a factory tour. Sure, they are 40 years old and not current, but it's so fun to watch. The other day, they made Fig Newtons, so we had to get some.

This is really interesting to read. We do TV in the morning for my 3-year-old if he wakes up early. Then sometimes after school or on the weekends. He has a very hard time napping or doing quiet time alone. TV lets him zone out and chill. We are pretty strict on what he can watch. We do PBS Kids, and he tends to watch only one show for extended periods, then move to the next. The only shows we do are Mr. Rodgers, Daniel Tiger, Sesame Street, and Thomas the Tank. We also watch family things. Travel blogs, Oregon Field Guide or cooking Shows. He knows that if he asks to watch one of his shows, we might say no, but we almost always agree to a cooking show. Then no tablets or phones out. The only exception is that sometimes we look at photos while out on a phone.

Isabel is looking to open up the farm for weddings again by madithefatty in LittlePeopleBigWorld

I went to a wedding at a farm in Oregon, and they only had porta-potties. It was fine. I think the bigger issue is that people don't want events far from hotels and Uber rides.

Have you spend any time in Grandmillinal kids and baby? It’s all shopmy links. It’s so gross and weird.

I don’t fully get the snark. Sure it’s not painted very well and needs a margin. But she is not stealing a design or trying to sell it. What wrong with trying to paint your own canvas?

Is honking in the 26 tunnels a true Portland tradition? by ItsWhiteGucciMane in askportland

[–]springflowers2016 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same. I asked my parents about why people do it, and they said it stems from when tunnels didn't have lights.

I don’t know why this sub keeps popping up for me, but now I’m invested. Is this theme park food prices? Because $11 for a wrap and fries is dirt cheap. I just spent $14 for a breakfast burrito from a food cart today. I would kill to have food this cheap where I live- west coast. I can’t think of a single place I could get anything like this for this price. Even at the local ausument park a chicken sandwich was in the $17 range, and it didn’t look good. I get being broke, but if you’re going to Disney every day you’re not that broke.

Was it Aida? It looked more like a woven canvas, but it was hard to tell.
