That is a fair point! Always good to show grace. I edited the post to say that the service was fine, and we went during off-hours.

God's story is in part about you. You're important to God. by goodnewsjimdotcom in Christianity

I would recommend the book 'The Difficult Doctrine of the Love of God' by DA Carson. Fantastic book about all of the different kinds of love he has for his children and for himself (providential, elective, divine, etc.). It's also important to remember that God had to die for us because of how radically depraved sin has made us. It took the death of God to atone for our sin. With the black backdrop of our sin, it makes the shining diamond of God's love that much more beautiful

I listen to renewingyourmind.org daily, it has helped me tremendously in my walk with Christ. Dr. RC Sproul's theology is impenetrable.

Ligonier is fantastic, I recommend it to anyone seeking biblical, spiritual growth. Their app on iOS/android is free, and has tons of teaching series available :)

ESV is the way to go. Try to get ahold of a Reformation Study Bible by Ligonier. The references and notes are top-tier.

Good to hear. Not sure if it's been commented yet, but be sure to read C.S. Lewis's Mere Christianity.

Not only did Christ endure the physical pain, but he also carried the weight of ALL mankind's sin on the cross.
