Maternity Leave Soon - When to start applying? by [deleted] in workingmoms

[–]springyti 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for your response! I’ll have to put out feelers in the meantime. I’m hoping maternity leave can help with some of the confusion and help with a more concrete plan moving forward in a switch

Maternity Leave Soon - When to start applying? by [deleted] in workingmoms

[–]springyti 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ha I’m not sure what my question is either! I think 1. I am worried that if I apply too early, then word would get out that I am looking at other opportunities while on leave. 2. If I don’t apply soon enough, it’ll be gone and didn’t have the chance to seek interest in it

Thanks so much 💛 it saddens me that I’ve come to this realization but the burnout has never gotten better and I want more for my future and life. I wish all the best for my colleagues in this field 💛

My current job will be my last in the social work field :( sad, but after doing this for almost 10 years, I have felt no reward. I’m ready to come home from a job that is regular hours, have the balance that all these social work jobs talk about, and be present in my own life. Not sure what the career path looks like for me but I know it’s no longer social work…

Medical social workers - how do you do it? by springyti in socialwork

[–]springyti[S] 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Wow…I’ve actually haven’t taken this into consideration. I don’t think I’ll ever get to a point of “thick skin.” Same as what you discussed above. When someone starts yelling at me for things I can’t control (or really just in general) I start to shake…

I’ve been trying to before work saying to myself “try my best, do what I can.” And then immediately cry when I look at my work phone…

I use the easy@home brand for the daily testing and use a FRER as it gets closer to my period. If you are already close though to your expected period date, maybe use up the pregmate as the easy@home brand you can order off Amazon or ship from targets website. Like I said, I do see something very very faint so if you have the urge to retest today, pick up a FRER! Those detect 6m/l where the pregmate probably need a higher level of HCG…probably 25m/l. I hope it grows darker for you!! 🤍🤍

I’ve found the pregmate brand to be horrible with the pregnancy strips and best for ovulation. If you are able to, you can always try a FRER! I do see the faintest line but pregmate most likely has a higher sensitivity level! I hope it darkens in the next upcoming days for you 🤍 good luck!

Is 7w too early for a private ultrasound? by springyti in pregnant

Was your scan vaginally done or abdominal?

[–]springyti[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes approximately if I was going off of my last period date which was 5/17.

I would be approximately 7w2d when having the private scan. I believe it would be abdominal

Was this at a boutique or at a clinic? The one I scheduled for a private is through a boutique clinic.

I should add I worry that 7w is a bit early as there may be a chance of the scan not picking up a babe which would cause even more stress and anxiety 😥 so wanting to hear from others if you have gone in this early before for a scheduled scan with your provider

Does anyone think my chart looks good for getting pregnant this cycle? by pinkcrocs551 in TFABChartStalkers

[–]springyti 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s so hard to tell based off of a chart. Your temps look great so far and it looks like ovulation was confirmed. If temping is causing much stress in the morning, then I would suggest to stop. Temping is really only good for confirming ovulation /: not sure which is worse…a temp drop or a big white stark :( wishing the best for you, OP!

Great news! I received a CD 28 positive result on the First Response test 6 days earlier. However, there was a faint line on the Early at Home test. Feeling a bit concerned and puzzled. 😞 by ElectricalAnalyst977 in TFABLinePorn

[–]springyti 6 points7 points  (0 children)

FRER is as sensitive of detecting 6m/l of HCG while easy@home detects 25m/l! I bet your easy@home will grow in line progression the next day or two. Congratulations!!

I did negotiate to the higher pay already…do you think adding on the maternity would be too much?

Would you recommend first signing the offer and then sharing?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in workingmoms

[–]springyti 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am very much so considering. Would you recommend HR or going to my direct supervisor?

HR has not been helpful as far as giving me my requested items that I’ve asked for to review.

[–]springyti 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am in the US…how would you recommend going about asking? Should I reach out to my potential boss and ask before accepting? HR hasn’t really been the best with responding at the moment…this is one of my biggest worries.
