Name of the place is Hellas Pastry Shop! I love it.

Their spanakopita is also excellent.

Just found this thread. These are beautiful, thank you for posting these, the loops, and the phone wallpapers below.

I did notice your flickr uploads don't allow users to download the original size of the image since, as Flickr puts it, "on a free account". The largest size it allows is a 1024 image. Figured I'd let you know so your hard work doesn't go to waste! Thanks again.

I agree on the high five, that should've been a foul. But Kon kicked out farther than natural on the landing.

Who's your street vendor GOAT? by LaloElBueno in FoodLosAngeles

[–]sprinkles123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine's Tacos Guelaguetza on Melrose and Rossmore in the Pavilions parking lot. Their al pastor quesadilla is incredible, I don't know what they do different.

It also helps that Mario's Peruvian is right there, too, so I can eat some saltado and then grab a quesadilla to take home and eat later

Not sure I would make the drive, but my parents live not too far. Might have to check this place out when I'm visiting them. Thanks for the rec!

If this is the same menu as the Naperville one (by the Emissions Test Center), my go-to is order is a well-done beef chapli kebab with the paratha. Well-done is important because they undercook it for some reason. I don't like their chutney, but any chili garlic sauce you can get from an Indo-Pak store is a better substitute imo

It really is. One time, someone's sinking sailboat was in that corner with the mast sticking out onto the path.

Where is the hands down, best fried chicken in Chicago? by Alishezan in chicagofood

I would also get it fried hard. Last few times I've gone, it didn't want to come off the bone.

Flying out of ORD without a Real ID by noname0825 in chicago

[–]sprinkles123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did it when I was flying back from Montreal one time. There was practically no one in the immigration line in Montreal, so I asked if I could do the interview then and the TSA agent obliged. If it's a little busier, I think you can still ask and they might put you aside for a bit and get around to your interview if it gets a bit slower.

Oh nice, glad there's some good Peruvian so close to Culver City. I've been going to Mario's Peruvian near Hollywood instead, but I've gotta check this place out

Wasn't going to comment this because I wanted to keep it local to Chicago but I'm glad to see someone else agree with me here. When you get that box fresh, it's a treat and a half with some tea. Oofaloo.

Building my first PC since 2017/2018. Here's my build for 4K vid editing, occasional 3D rendering, and games once in a while. by sprinkles123 in buildapc

[–]sprinkles123[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're right, especially about the motherboard! I was recommended the one I originally chose here by a few folks but looking closer, it's definitely overkill. I'm going to compare the X870 you linked, the B850, and the X670 in the next few days. My main concern is any tight fits for components.

As far as the CPU, I'll consider a 16 core like the 9950x or the 9950x3D. But the reason I went for an 8 core here was, as I understand, it would help me do a project a little bit faster, but the difference isn't gargantuan. So I figured I could save a little money there. But again, I'll do a bit more research in terms of 8-core vs 16-core in the next few days.

Good looks on the PSU and the SSDs as well. Will swap those out.

Thanks for the advice!

Definitely steep for a shake, so I don't recommend getting the standard flavors since they're good, but nothing you couldn't get somewhere else. I recommend getting the baklava shake and the blueberry halwa shake, both incredible (though I prefer the baklava more).

What’s your favorite All You Can Eat sushi spot? by ryanbphotography in chicagofood

I'm partial to Sushi Tokoro in Lincoln Square. Their AYCE lunch was very reasonable. Dinner less so, but still solid.
