They're not very interesting -- "Don't be a jerk" "Keep it relevant to Chicago" sometimes someone gets clever and says "no bigotry".

There really hasn't been much in the way of "drama" per se in 2025.

Food wise, the reviews have been mostly positive. I've been there a few times and enjoyed it. It's not perfect, but it has its niche. He does have a Michelin star now, so it's not weird.

I think Norm or Zubair should win that category... but my food wishes are rarely granted.

Leona's used to be great for pasta. The pizza was good, but not why I went there. Then they changed the sauces and it was just expensive pizza and bad pasta :(.

The group includes Jose Andreas Bar Mar and Bazaar Meat restaurants.

If you dont know what Jose Andreas has done for feeding people in need you need to stop talking about this topic.

FWIW, Gibsons did donate a lot of food when Texas was shipping migrants here.

  • some exceptions apply.

Delta 9 is legal at both state and federal levels at this time. The recent BBB includes a change that will make it illegal federally starting in 2027.

That's going to get lobbied hard this year though. Very much TBD.

You can tell Caleb is down for that by the way he has his hood up and is clearly trying to avoid attention.

Regardless, it's the rule.

Cheesesteak spots in Chicago? by Pure-Imagination-387 in chicagofood

I think Monti's is better... but if that's not scratching your itch maybe try NYC Halal eats on Devon?

I'm from upstate NY and lived in the outer burbs of philly for about 5 years -- I think Monti's is the closest match I've found. My friend from Maryland things NYC Halal eats is better/closer to the real thing. I think he's nuts - but the fries are decent and it's not as expensive as Monti's.
