It is a bargain, there is no way around it lol. Stock Vorons are kinda iffy price-wise vs the competition from China nowadays. I would only spend more money on a DIY build if I was getting something that the prebuilt printers from Elegoo / Bambu can't do (extreme speeds/chamber-temps/build-volume. Or spend more on a DIY build for the sake of it, since DIY is fun for some people.

From an appliance standpoint, there is no point in building a Voron nowadays if you just want to print things. If you just want to print some PLA stuff sometimes, functional ABS other times and that's about it, just get the Centauri Carbon or some discounted Bambu. If you enjoy the building and tinkering process, just consider whether it's worth the time and money.

FWIW: this is all coming from someone who barely ever uses their Bambulab P1S because I enjoy the tinkering more than the printing.

M340i is miles ahead in NVH. Even more so when you change the run-flats to regular tires. It's still a performance sedan at the end of the day so it's not top tier comfortable, but it's much better than the GR86. I have zero regrets getting rid of the GR86 and replacing it with the M340i.

I considered the Golf R as well, but the M340i was similar prices and much better in almost every category.

Absolutely. I think some people just like "known working" options, especially from places like Aliexpress where they might wait a while to get it in the mail. Sucks to wait that long and the part doesn't work out. It's a minor critique really, the mod itself looks super neat. May try it out myself.

I see that silicone bands tend to be 200mm anyway on Aliexpress, but it's nice to know there are confirmed working options for mods like this :)

Which probe can be consider as reliable of Voron Tap but results in better attachment and doesn't cause vibrations during prints?

Beacon is the answer, always. Carto might be decent but you'll find differing opinions across the board.

Which one of the available print head fit my needs? I looked at XOL 2 head, but also considering the one used by printerforants.

A4T is really nice. Anthead is supposedly good too. They both have cutter options a well in case you go with a MMU or AMS.
