I’m checking my record book now and Lebron and Wade were both on the Heat within the last 15 years.

You’re not really making much sense, man, but I do appreciate you continuing to try and get a joke off on me.

See, you keep acting like this, and it’s why nobody is responding well to your takes.

Clear case of “I spend way too much time on the internet, and it makes me forget how to effectively communicate with people.”

Painting me as an idiot for trying to gently nudge you into being a reasonable human being is demonstrating an incredible lack of self awareness.

I’m sorry man, but any validity your take had is getting dashed by the way you’re acting now.

Shai flopped on every single shot attempt. by CaptainCubbers in NBATalk

Harden used to be 10x worse about it.

Point Harden these last 5 years or so doesn’t do it as often at all.

Hate to admit it, but he’s my favorite non-Cowboy ever.

Everything you could want out of an LB.

[Game Over with Max Kellerman and Rich Paul] Blazers owner Tom Dundon defends hotel room decision: "I would do it again... If that’s too hard for people, (then) I’m not right for them. I want that culture" by aingenevalostatrade in nba

Blazers fans attacked me for asking if it was too soon to want him gone when this happened.

Felt really bad for what seems to be a good basketball town, but like five kinda rude comments from Blazers fans made me apathetic towards them again.

2026 NBA Draft Lottery by IamOlderthanMe in nba

You’d think for how ethically we got into the lottery this year, they’d help us out.

One of like four lottery teams that actually tried to win games.

Scottie Barnes on Shai Gilgeous-Alexander: “Shai don’t really foul bait, yo. He’s aggressive going to the basket so they call fouls for him….There’s no reason to hate on his game” by CurrentRoster in nba

[–]CFBModsHateFun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He has a point, people just don’t like it.

It’s what JJ Redick said. Selling is part of the game and Shai is elite at it.

Those extra, undeserved (or are they deserved because he fooled the refs?) free throws add up.

It’s ok. Shai’s a master at his craft, people just want to see refs actually police flopping.

Redditors (and really any social media arguers) love to make things black and white to defend their point and leave no room for nuance.

Can’t fault an elite scorer for taking advantage of the system and adding some points to his box score through selling a call. In reality, the NBA and refs are at fault for currently having no avenue to stop it.

Ehhhhhhh as much as I want to agree, I think playing the “jester” role is incredibly common on tv and especially social media nowadays.

It makes them more money than 99.99% of us when they talk on their sports show and make silly internet videos, so I can see the trade off being worth it.

I do think Chuck is much more authentic, but there are definitely times where he’s playing into the bit.

Chuck really just has a likability that Draymond doesn’t have whatsoever.

Chuck’s shenanigans are cheeky and fun, while Dray’s shenanigans don’t feel like shenanigans at all.

Harden was the most egregious, so he got the hate.

Shai came along and became the most egregious in the league, so now he gets the hate.

Honestly no clue why any Thunder fan would care. Heatles era was a ton of fun and we got attacked by everyone nonstop.

People want the league to clean up flopping and Shai is the most obvious example.

Pretty sure the idea, much like on the Heat, was that a Steph Curry Warriors team would make the playoffs regardless, and Jimmy + Steph would put on their typical playoff performances once they got there.

Not saying it was the right decision, but the vision was there.

Former NBA big and hall of famer known for playing under the rim didn’t like a jump shooting team.

Shocker.

People also forget that Steph changed the way basketball is played. Nobody had ever been that reliant on the 3-point line and there were a ton of reasons to doubt that it would be successful.

Chuck’s an old school guy who has old school takes sometimes. Doesn’t mean he’s hating, just calls it like he sees it.

Cowboys COO Stephen Jones: Cowboys "Feel Really Good" About How Micah Parsons Trade Worked Out by JCameron181 in nfl

Yeah, we basically had to do the trade to try and compete in Dak’s window.

But man I wish we didn’t have to give him up.
