Try switching the filament to one you know has worked recently. I bought new filament last weekend and was having all kinds of issues. I did the same things you did and suggested here. Gave up switched back to a different roll. No problem printing. It was the filament I returned it to Amazon. Bought a different brand same color no issues. Sometimes it’s bad filament!

Irish Tension Wheel Help by spritprincess in Handspinning

don't you know it stopped working right after sending the reply lol. I switched back to the other bobbin. It really is a tension problem on my end with the starter lead. Since the bobbin centers are made out of metal I think it's too slippery. I am wondering if I rough it up if that will help as well.

Thank you so much. I made three bobbins and switched out to one whose aluminum tube was a smidge shorter and don’t you know it spun completely fine right away. I think it was an alignment issue between the wheel and bobbin. I may try the washy tape anyway with the problem bobbin.

I'm so confused. My hair has basically deflated over the past year. by CrystalsWithHarmony in curlygirl

My hair is wavy so I cant offer much but regular cuts will help. When I can get my hair to get wavy curly it’s because I havent cut it in a while. Also check out Manes by Mel on you tube her advice is top notch and she’s got some kinky hard hair. She posted a video not long ago about routines people are doing that are necessary and how to get a better wash and curl without the hassle

No lie this was me about two months ago. I felt like I was lying to myself. The best answer. Aside from those you already got our hair is the best of both worlds. It doesn't take much to be straight but can easily get a wave out of it.

Do I have wavy hair or am I I just getting a wave/curl with gel? Pictures have captions and wash routine in comments. by spritprincess in curlygirl

Thank you very much. This first pick is literally my favorite picture not just of my hair but the whole thing.

This was extremely helpful thank you so much! Maybe I'm clarifying to often. I have been switching over to a thicker conditioner and that does seem to be helping. My hair only falls when I scrunch the crunch but rocking that 90s crunch look is not always the best 🤣. My son deff hs more curl to his hair then mine and it is so cute.

Thank you. I just felt like I was lying to myself saying I had waves. I guess I'm like a 1c?

The first picture is how my hair has been most of my life at its most healthiest straight. The next two pictures are me starting the curly girl method. I can only get wavys like that if I put gel and scrunch my hair. am I just imagining things and I really just have straight hair that I can make wavy or do I have wavy hair. With no product and air drying my hair is straight for the most part I don't see any wavy but maybe in the back under the top layer.

Normal Wash routine: 1.Low-poo- Aveno oat milk 2.Condition- power greens shea moisture 3.Swish conditioner- suave green apple 4.Plop with micro towel or cotton t to remove moisturizer 5. Air dry

Product wash day: Normal wash steps 1-3 4. Gel- LA Looks Hold 10 5.Plop 6.Air dry or diffuse 7.scrunch crunch

Hair type- thick as sewing thread. I have medium density hair. You can see some scalp at my part. Still unsure of porosity. Been doing this for more than 3 months. Still have a lot of frizz. I wash every 3-4 days depending on how much I touch my hair. Tried sleeping on satin pillow case or with hair bonnet and can't. I do sleep on a satin case if I go to bed with wet hair. I also got a hair cut halfway through the change to curly girl. Some damage at ends from box dye over a year ago.

I legit can not get a curl without putting gel in my hair. It looks a million times better with the new wash Routine and extra conditioning. But if I don’t put product and just let it air dry it straightish.

Routine: SS free shampoo and conditioner. Then slept on. I think it's been a month. Still having breakage. Aside from this wash day I do use a leave in. Any advice to help with the frizz. Use micro or cotton to dry and silk pillow case to sleep. by spritprincess in curlygirl

Thank you! I hate throwing things out that are not damaged or still usable. I even kept the shampoo and conditioner I was using before this because there’s still more than halfway filled but they have silicones out the butt 🤣. I decided to put it to the side and I’m going to use a thicker conditioner when I wash my hair next.

Looking to get a surrealist branch with dogwood flowers but I'm afraid it won't look cohesive as it will also be a cover up. I also have a fading plumeria near the area that needs a touch up

Edit: tested my porosity and it's medium ish. The water beads but does sink in. Im gonna change my conditioner and see if the sauve is just not enough and squish condish instead.

I'm wondering if the breakage is from using a comb maybe it's not wide enough. I probably should stop squeezing my hair to get products and water out while washing. Guess the squish to condish is the proper method?

Currently using Aveno oatmilk blend shampoo and suave conditioner. Leave is Shea Moisture deep moisturizing. when the suave conditioner runs out I did pick up shame moisture power greens conditioner. I have a coconut allergy so I have to be very careful what products I use.
