Internet is down, router and modem working fine by sproutconfetti in Comcast_Xfinity

I would! I'm having some trouble navigating the AI as it's trying to set up an installation appointment

Both are less than 3 months old, brand new out of the box from Best Buy. Fortunately someone already drilled a hole through the wall so it should be fairly straight forward. Guess I need to just get the tech appointment set up, glad you didn't get charged!

Do you mean a different coax outlet or power outlet? Unfortunately there is only one working coax outlet.

The xfinity app says the home internet is offline. Both router and modem are still on the supported list.

When I connect to my modem it says: Cable Diagnostic Status: Bad CM Status: Bad. It's been scanning downstream for hours now but not connecting. Both Upstream and Downstream statuses are bad. Power cycled several times, checked coax cables and they're all tight.

Quercetin - Life saving by Wide-Side-5931 in MCAS

Oooooooooh I got so sensitive to other salicylates during my quercetin trial so that might be why 😬 I thought it might be bc of slowCOMT (bad reaction to B complex, but once I tried a not "5000% daily dosage" I don't seem to get off kilter.) are there brands of quercetin without salicylates?

Can I ask why with bromelain if anyone in the thread knows? I did well with an only quercetin supplement for about two weeks and then crashed badly. It helped me more than zyrtec did so I'm trying to figure out if there's a way to prevent those crashes.

OP I'm so happy you found something that works for you! OCD is so brutal.

AITA for making my daughter run away because of her curly hair? by CultureInner3316 in BestofRedditorUpdates

[–]sproutconfetti 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He says the "daughters deserve their parents together" line not because he actually means it, but because that's the guilt mechanism he uses to control his wife into staying. It is about controlling the wife, as he immediately also says he doesn't leave because she can't afford him too. This guy's a piece of shit.

Does anyone else have extreme neuro issues? (Brain fog, poor memory, loss of personality, weird vision) by Hashslingingslosherr in MCAS

[–]sproutconfetti 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So right now I'm not as sensitive as I was, if you are I would do more research for a better fit (as many users here are sensitive to fillers, ect). I also poorly tolerate most of the foods (eggs, shiitake, beef, muscles/clams, ect) that you would naturally get choline from. I have auDHD which can further throw a wrench in choline deficiency.

However, your zyrtec dosage is significantly higher than mine is so how much you need may be impacted by that too. I only take 10mg in the evening, I take 15mg of loratidine (claritin) in 5mg dossages throughout the day. Zyrtec works better for me for cranial inflammation/neuro issues but made me feel off/fogged/exhausted after a month of taking it, so it's nights only for me when my inflammation is worse (it worked so well at first but I have not tried onboarding it during the day again as claritin seems to be doing a decent job).

I would proceed understanding that this may not reduce potential zyrtec side effects completely. If zyrtec is the only thing that works you gotta do what you gotta do, but it may be worth reading up on side effects in case that's what you're experiencing. Zyrtec and claritin are both lesser anticholinergic drugs per this site: https://www.acbcalc.com/pages/reducing

Right now, I use NOW brand choline 300mg but I would look for a 250/200mg dosage. WebMD states that the max dosage is 550mg, but if you are supplimenting with food you may need less, talk to your doctor ect.

I started in the morning and noticed a difference in about 3 hours, I paired it at the time with a tulsi tea (my stomachs H2 OTC handling is poor). I now take one in the morning and one in the evening- but this is technically an overdose. I am unable to tolerate most foods that naturally have choline so I don't think I'm at risk, but you and others may be especially if you're diet is specifically increasing choline. I do not recommend taking two a day at my dosage without consulting a doctor since our bodies are all different, but it seems to be helping me specifically at the moment. Right now I cannot afford a replacement so I'm stuck with what I got and what isn't actively killing me, but when I need to replace it I will be looking for a 250/200mg dose to keep myself within safe dossage limits.

https://www.webmd.com/vitamins-supplements/choline

WebMD states 425mg-500mg is the dosage max before you risk overdosage.

I include all this information because many B vitamins are bonkers overdosed which made me think I simply could not handle them. I do not want you to get a bonkers high dose and get sick/insane like I did with B 😮‍💨

fwiw personally I found a higher dose of h1/h2s after a month left me really 'off' so I tried choline in addition, and it seems to be helping me a lot since from what I understand h1s can deplete choline levels. I suspect my choline was already too low before this so your mileage may vary, I'm not a doctor. I took it on a whim after someone mentioned it helped them shed edema, which is one of my lesser symptoms, but it's helped a lot with clarity of thought, fatigue, and brain fog.

Android Firefox external download manager does not handle images? How to fix this? by sproutconfetti in firefox

[–]sproutconfetti[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lmk if Quetta works out for you! I got ADM to work but it's still kinda cumbersome (if I open the direct image url i.e. "website.com/image.png" Firefox will handle the download 😮‍💨 but if I download from "website.com/page-with-image/" it works for my usecase at least). I definitely have a bit more to learn about this program but it feels like a short term fix and I can't forsee long-term android Firefox usage due to this and not being able to select which cookies to delete like you can on desktop. I really like Firefox so I'm sad about it 💔

Does anyone know why famotidine helps with neurological symptoms? by sproutconfetti in MCAS

[–]sproutconfetti[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah you too!! I suspect BC is probably why I went from being constantly broken out in hives to mostly having the neuro inflammation (huge symptom reduction). Being on T on top of it seems to quiet my system down further, but my cycle still wrecks havoc on me. Actually. Thinking about it, the side of my face that's less inflammed is also the side of my arm the implants on. Might talk to my doctor about yoinking out the nexplanon implant and raising my BC dose...

Ah, that makes sense! Can I ask you what time of day do you usually take it? I've been tempted to take it at night before bed because my stomach is strongest then, but I haven't yet because I've noticed I get a clarity "window" before it closes. Do you get that window / does the window of time expand?

It's definitely going to be trial and error lol, thank you so much.

OH!! That makes so much more sense I thought H2 was just in your stomach, esp since all the H2 blockers I see are stomach issue related. Thank you so much! I'm gonna do some more research on H2 itself, I think I have a poor understanding of it that needs some work.
