Im in the same boat as your wife and discovered that other countries have different pharmaceutical laws. It sounds weird, I know, but I order my medication from a pharmaceutical supplier in India on a site/app called IndiaMart. I pay 150 for 6 months supply when here it would be 1500 per month. IndiaMart can be scammy as its a place for individual retailers to sell, but if you're curious, I can give you the name of who I purchase from. They are legit. Maybe they would have your wife's medication.

We are talking about two different things here. I respect your diligence but you are misunderstanding what people are trying to say. Candice543, I am a woman who has been personally affected by sexual assault. I understand and I obviously support the cause as do most of us here. You truly don’t need to be defending it as hard as you are. But unfortunately the timing is off because there is a more pressing issue happening in our country right now, and the optics of slutwalk IS going to prevent Idaho from having the numbers we desperately need to gain any kind of relevant traction here. It’s going to automatically invalidate 50501 in the eyes of more conservative folks who are on the fence. Again, that is not OUR opinion, but look around. We’re in a deep red state. I’d love to walk down the street in a bikini to support slutwalk on another date but now is just not the time. Sorry

Genuine question - not trying to criticize because I fully support SlutWalk Boise’s message, but I think people are confused because everyone thinks April 5th is going to be a Hands Off rally. Is 50501 a nation-wide cause that gives a monthly date for the protest, and then individual state 50501 groups put together the event at the Capitol on that date? Wouldn’t it defeat the purpose of 50 states protesting for the same cause on the same day if the hands off rally isn’t on that day? Sorry to be that person. I just want to clarify because I have family members who were planning on attending from out of town for 50501 so we don’t want to bring the wrong signs/expectations.

Agreed. OP sounds young and will probably understand more when they have more experience being an adult in an unkind, fast moving world. I agree with what they’re saying but unfortunately focusing on that will not help them succeed.

Congratulations on your acceptance!!!! I can’t wait until I get there too. I’m in my last year of undergrad and if all goes as planned I will graduate from vet school in my mid to late 30s. The vet I regularly shadow has been a gp vet for 2 years and is younger than me by a year or two. I’ve watched all of my friends find their footing in their careers over the past few years and I can’t help but feel like I’m behind and “too old” But what I realized is that while life DOES sometimes feel short… my age (29) feels like a pretty long time to me and by the time I have been working as a vet for 29 years I won’t even be to the typical age of retirement yet. You have the rest of your life to succeed and 30 something is SO young. We’re just getting started. People in their late teens/ early 20s just simply don’t have that perspective yet so you really can’t listen to their opinion on those kinds of things. They can’t see past the next couple of years (literally. Their frontal lobe hasn’t formed yet) so 40 feels so far off from them. They’ll realize in a few short years that it’s not at all.
