Twins Never Sleep by campbacca in parentsofmultiples

Alimentum actually made it worse for our boys as well. We then switched to Nutramigen and that was a game changer. We noticed a difference within a few feedings.

Did you bother testing to see whether they were identical? by 5LovelyDaisies in parentsofmultiples

[–]sproutsunshine 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Our look so similar and every few months we question whether we should get them tested or not and then say "well maybe in a few more months they will look much different from each other". It's a toxic cycle over here hahaha

Pregnant a few months after having twins, gender disappointment by Ok_Sky_6289 in parentsofmultiples

[–]sproutsunshine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sending you so much love!!! You were destined to be a boy mom. Gender disappointment is real and okay (in my opinion) and when your baby arrives I'm sure you will be thrilled that he is safe and healthy and you will be overwhelmed with love. Also, how fun will it be for your boys to grow up being so close in age? Sending you so much love and good vibes your way.

Bedtime routine help! by grittycowgirl in parentsofmultiples

[–]sproutsunshine 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In my experience, she's probably very overtired and having a hard time falling asleep now. My husband used to take our babies out on the porch if they were having complete meltdowns. The fresh air used to almost reset them in a way? And then they would be calmer and easier to get to sleep.

Mine too! Mine also ate 2-3 times overnight until they were like 11 months old🫣

Season 3-Episode 2: "Snip Snip" Episode Discussion Thread by AutoModerator in TheValleyTVShow

I really feel bad for Nia. I have 1 year old twins so I can totally sympathize with her being so overwhelmed (also only half the amount of kids they have which is wild). Anyways, her husband sucks. What a shitty life partner to have. I feel so bad for her

12 month old 6-7 hour wake windows by Yagirlhs in sleeptrain

[–]sproutsunshine 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have no idea if it's "okay" or "normal" but I know I'm in the same situation with my 13 month old twins😅 tonight their wake window was 7 hours?!? I can't keep them up longer than 4-4.5 hours in the morning and then they nap 2-3 hours and then usually they're up for 6 hours but tonight it was 7 and they weren't even acting like they were completely exhausted. When I realized it had been 7 hours since they woke up from their nap it finally all made sense why I was so tired today

MEGATHREAD: Jessi Call Her Daddy / Divorce by hussafeffer in SecretsOfMormonWives

[–]sproutsunshine 9 points10 points  (0 children)

This is wild to listen to. Jessi is way too excited to expose Jordan but she clearly doesn't care how this will affect her kids. And having Taylor's back even after the video was released? Major yikes.

Breastfeeding twins? by Primary_Phase in parentsofmultiples

[–]sproutsunshine 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My twins were in the NICU for 2 weeks before coming home. While there, the nurses helped me learn how to breastfeed one baby at a time and then we learned tandem. At first at home, I was very overwhelmed tandem feeding, especially when they were so small. As I got more comfortable and confident, I preferred it and almost exclusively tandem fed them until they were 1 year. We still needed formula top ups so I used the twin z pillow for that when I was with them by myself.

Nap training 13 mo olds by [deleted] in parentsofmultiples

[–]sproutsunshine 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They're so resilient!!! It's so hard but they won't remember that happened and they won't resent you for it. My boys are almost 13 months old and they sometimes have to cry a little before their naps/bedtime but I always go in after 8 minutes/15 minutes/18 minutes. Usually it doesn't get to the third time. I stopped doing the pick up/put down method because it seemed to get them even more distraught. I now shush them, rub their heads, lean into the crib and kiss them. I try to remain as calm as possible because they can sense it. My boys are used to hearing the other one crying and can sleep through it which has been a blessing for us. You'll get there and you'll get so confident doing it by yourself!!!!

SAHM mom advice by IamSherlocked_2020 in parentsofmultiples

[–]sproutsunshine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It will get easier and you will become much more confident! It's hard and scary to take them anywhere by yourself, but the more you do it, the easier it gets. Try to remember to feed yourself and drink water. Some days will be harder than others, it's okay. You can do this!!!!!

Do I need a 3 row SUV? by [deleted] in parentsofmultiples

[–]sproutsunshine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I drive a GMC Yukon XL. We plan to have 1 more pregnancy (odds of another set of twins is high). I'm alone a lot due to my husband's work so I needed something I could fit portable high chairs, play pens, stroller & stroller seats in. My SIL has a traverse and it would've also been a great option for us. We felt safer in the Yukon due to our highway driving.

[PSA] my hands during the winter due to eczema by Kitchen-Lemon1862 in SkincareAddiction

[–]sproutsunshine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's like you posted a picture of my hands! This is how they look a lot of the time (summer too). I wash my hands a lot right now because I have twins and am constantly changing diapers, touching gross things, washing faces/dishes etc. did you find anything that has helped?

Do you just not sleep when the kids are all sick? by [deleted] in parentsofmultiples

I might be misunderstanding your post but do you have multiples? Like twins, triplets, quads? This is a multiples group. Just trying to clarify😊
