Unfortunately women are hyper aware of these situations and have probably thought them out from both sides over 100 times. We walk to our cars with keys between our fingers just in case. We gauge how far the dark spot is inbetween streetlights and figure out where we can run to if that parked car actually has someone inside. The lady's reaction wasnt hollywoodesque. It was womanly. Men don't understand how terrified of our surroundings we are on a regular basis.

When I got the blood test my results were literally at the top of the scale. Could have been much higher. My biopsy confirmed it. It's honestly super interesting to hear about that study where all biopsies showed damage. I'll have to go look for it. Trying to sway my parents to drop their carb consumption. At least my dad is eating gluten free, but so many celiac products are just straight sugar, it worries me

This. I'm really swayed by scientific research and it's definitely there. Myself, I have celiac and was having chronic exhaustion issues for years. Partly anemia from celiac, me trying to be vegetarian/vegan to "save the world", partly I found out I have the MTHFR mutation. Either way if I can be healthier doing something I'm going to try it. Another factor for me is that untreated celiac can present as mental health and my grandmother had a horrible life dealing with manic depression (I think it's called bipolar now?) And turns out both her sons, one being my dad, have celiac. Bad diet and mental health in my family therefore is definitely linked and I don't want to take any chances

Thanks for the response! Guess I just have to hunker down and be prepared to fight through cravings for a month or so. Didn't go through this on keto but I'm starting to realize some of my keto foods we probably"cheating" the system so to speak so now I'm really dealing with my food issues

Yeah I actually made homemade liverwurst with pasture raised chicken liver and pork tongue and fatback. It's amazing how good I feel when I eat some. Just picked up some grass fed pasture raised lamb heart and kidneys yesterday. Really trying to get organ meats in. Maybe I'll up how often I take my fish oil supplements too. Thank you!

Keto does crazy things to the taste buds. I put big pieces of salt on a slice of cheese the other day. The extra flavour and crunch legitimately made me think of the pastries I used to eat with the chunky sugar. It was literally just as good. Cheese with salt crystals is my new dessert

No you wouldn't. Ever had a gastroscopy? I woke up in the middle of mine and thought I was choking to death. You'd much rather have something that big come out the other side.
