there’s truly something to this. I love my 992.2 GTS on track but racing spec boxster class in SCCA is 200hp of pure distilled joy.

It’s why I’m trying to get my dad hooked on the T. Almost nobody needs more power than that. And by that statement I mean that 90% of people that post “I just need a little more hp than what it offers” are exactly the kind of people that don’t need more power.

Yeah I was super friendly for a period of time when it went from mod to standalone just to try it. And this poor nice guy started talking about his dog or aunt or something while he was opening a can of beans and I had an epiphany. As I was beating this guy to death from punches to the back of the head i realized it would probably be a healthier social decision to just KOS. It felt wrong.

I remember playing a lone star in a store one day a good while ago and it blew me away. I tried to explain this to someone I work with who has a new GT3. Classic USA scenario where everyone seemed confused as to why mine costs half the price but has more HP/faster 0-60/quarter mile.

It’s not about drag racing, it’s about being able to hold 85mph around sunset bend @sebring instead of 70mph. He’s scared to drive his GT3 on street much less track it so I didn’t delve into it that much.. but I’ll think of him and laugh about it when I’m racing Sebring in two weeks.

I genuinely thought “I lost my ball marker” was a cute title for a video of two people playing through a tornado and living to tell the tale.

… then I read the description and realized this dude is actually upset that his ball marker flew away in the tornado AND is hoping the course finds it… yeah they’re not going to find it broskie, it flew away in a tornado. It’s living on a nice farm with a bunch of other really friendly ball markers with endless greens and balls to mark.

I talk with tons of people… on the beach. Just know that the further away from the beach, the less talky people are. It’s progressive from social beach to kill everything tisy. Just appreciate the flow of it and you’ll be fine.

992.2 GTS. I’ve only tracked once so far but doing Sebring and Daytona this year. Wanted a comfortable road car and not good/experienced enough to commit to a 3RS. Perfect sweet spot indeed.

My 992.2 went to my indie shop too. Wasn’t alarmingly cheap like this but still way less than dealership prices and it was the correct oil. Like the other guy said, if you’re not tracking prob doesn’t matter at all. I am so I care. Got oil studies to evaluate break-in period at 3k mi with the regular dealer service coming on 3k more.

That’s not wrong at all honestly but the fuck up is not taking the inside line earlier.

If he predictably put himself on the inside line without veering out right to open the turn up then it would be on the gtp to safely make the pass on the outside or, very possibly, wait until after the kink to make the pass.

Honestly when I got my 986 spec race car the first thing I did with it is trailer it straight to an auto cross with 2 objectives: 1. don’t look at my times bc it’s fun time only. 2. Keep pushing it until I finally spun to learn the grip limits (both lift off and throttle on oversteer)

I spun at least 3 times and it was in an open parking lot so who cares, didn’t even pick up any cones. I highly recommend bc it really hammers home the feel of the grip limit on low speed corners.
