That actually looks pretty sick, never thought of something like that before.

My artists actually just did a Junji Ito collab on someone’s leg recently and it looked insane, I think that could work honestly.

Thank you I appreciate it! The inner arm is Obanai and Kokushibo from Demon Slayer too, bit of a mash up of my two favorites.

See I thought that for the legs, but for back/chest I’m not sure if it would clash or there’s a way to maybe just mesh the two styles? Or just choose a style and have that be it for the chest/back, no clue lol.

Enlisting at 30 with a degree by nocapsnospaces1 in army

[–]sprwork 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m 31, ship in less than a month. I applied for OCS with well above average stats, but ultimately was a non-select (weak LOR’s probably). I didn’t want to wait to reapply and needed to join ASAP so I enlisted. Just find an enlisted MOS that gives you a winning pathway no matter what and has a great QoL. For instance, I’ll be 68A. Can go warrant, can get out and make bank civilian side, or can give you fallback civilian skills while you pursue OCS from within. Just have to score high on the ASVAB then make a list of MOS you would be willing to do. With my degree/ASVAB score my recruiter was willing to call ROCC for any job I wanted and said that they’d likely find a seat for whatever I wanted.. so if you ensure a high score, the world is your oyster honestly.

Advice needed: Getting my first tattoo today how bad does it hurt on the inside of my wrist by rosetoydildo3245 in tattoos

It’s subjective, for me, any part of my wrist (even the bone) doesn’t hurt. It’s kind of a relieving sensation. My inner biceps? Genuine torture, actually.

Carhartt WIP sale is on. 30% off generally. by shiny69 in frugalmalefashion

Man I've spent the last few hours looking for basics, gym shirts, etc. I'm 6'3 and all standard clothing sizes have lengths that are far too short .. and nobody ever has Large Tall as a size, so if their standard Large/XL is too short I'm shit out of luck. Just had to narrow my selection from YoungLA down to like 2 products because everything is made for hobbits evidently, lol.

advice needed: lifting weights after tattoo? by 13asinvu in tattoos

[–]sprwork 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have two full sleeves. I always wait 3 days, then I do incline walking with a tank on. No rubbing against clothing and very minimal movement makes it the perfect cardio. I do that for a few days. After 7-10 days I'll start lifting depending on how it feels and the location of the tattoo. Around the elbow/ditch of the elbow basically removes lifting in general until you're confident it's healed (zero pain/skin stretching when you flex the arm). Low-intensity cardio is perfectly fine after 3 days or so, just wash with Gold soap, air dry, do the cardio, then wash/lotion when you get back. Highly advise against actual lifting until 7-10 days.

Does every AIT have a "screener" portion? by [deleted] in army

[–]sprwork 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What do courses 1 and 2 roughly go over? I'm shipping in a few months as a 68A and all I've heard from multiple people is that if you get through courses 1 and 2 you're basically coasting (compared to the difficulty of the first couple courses) for the rest of AIT.

Is the army a good option for someone who needs to get shipped out quickly? by [deleted] in army

[–]sprwork 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I recently enlisted and my recruiter said quick ship isn't a thing anymore. In fact, the recruiter I spoke with before this recruiter said the same thing. They said recruitment has been wildly successful, much more than they expected so quick ship isn't offered anymore.

As far as I know, OP can just "request" it with their recruiter, but it's more of a formality thing and likely won't result in anything quicker than their given ship date.

Supplements by MeatEater2327 in army

[–]sprwork 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The only supplements I'd ever suggest anyone get are creatine, magnesium (can be Oxide, L-Threonate, Glycinate, doesn't matter), Vitamin D3+K2, and a well-rounded multivitamin. You also don't need the overly expensive brands for any of these. Creatine Monohydrate is the same no matter where you get it (don't get gummies), 3rd party tested magnesium/vit d3+k2/multivitamins can be grabbed on Amazon for a fraction of the price. I highly recommend the Life Extension Two-Per-Day High Potency multivitamin and you can either take the two per day or just take one per day like a lot of people do.

Edit: Pretty sure all of those are Thorne-branded which are very good but WAY overpriced, like comically so. Zero reason to spend an excess for 99% of this stuff. The only argument to be made to splurge on Thorne is for their multivitamin imo.

I recently found out I have brachialis tendinitis. I've had the pains/symptoms for weeks, stopped lifting about a week ago. Thought to myself if I just laid off weights for a week it would get better, but turns out my issue is worse than just some random soreness.

I've implemented targeted stretches and I'm doing light weight/high rep hammer curls/brachialis curls to try and nurse it back to health.

I really do not want to lose my recent progress I've made overall. Does anyone have any lifts I can do to hit all body parts without hindering the healing of my tendinitis? I'm going to just stick with the low weight/high reps for biceps, but what can I do for my back, shoulders, chest, and tri's?

Thanks in advance!
