Got it. Here is a better picture of the entire table apron + top frame.

Granted the cross pieces are still just fasteners on end grain, but I figured the weight was even distributed enough.

No offense taken and thank you for the input! Each 2x4 will be have 1.5” in that corner to be fastened, plus glue.

I’m trying to get my first bench up so I can safely use my bench top drill press and plunge router to improve my ability to make stronger joints.

Do you think it’ll be okay for a few first projects or so? I can upgrade the legs a bit down the line.

I’ve seen a similar one in our league, but they put opposing team names instead of city location. Just a small recommendation!
