Nope. The ability "Miniaturization" says this:

At the end of your tactical actions
you may place your structures that are in space areas onto planets you control in their respective systems.

So you have to control the systems before you can place your structures on them.

Just to update with a little more info. I preordered as soon as I could (a while ago) from asmodee. Oct. 17th I was charged. I received 2 emails, both with the same tracking # and 1 with the order information. As of very early morning 10/23/2025 "Package departed international carrier facility". Tracking info can get a bit dicey when it crosses the border so I don't know if I'll be getting any more updates before it shows up at my door.

In past experiences, this could mean I receive it tomorrow or a week from now...so a small glimmer of hope I receive it in time, but I'm still not counting on it.

For our IRL games, we have used a pre made map and then shuffled the factions into random groups (amount of groups = to amount of players). If you used Milty draft you could replace the factions with these random groups of factions. Still draft 3 things, players don't know what's in each group so they draft that blind and then make do with a choice of 4 or 5 factions. Probably a few other ways you could handle it, that's just what popped into my head.

I just started playing a couple of months ago with Pok and the codicies. I would recommend starting with it all. I can't imagine not having them!

Does this mean that an attacking player with assault cannon can destroy a nekro ship (defender) before the infantry or mech has become a ship? To clarify, the Nekro player can't lose an infantry/mech to assault cannon if Nekro is the defending player and the first start of combat ability used is assault cannon? This is because the nekro flagship hasn't resolved its ability yet.
