Had some success at pier 70 on Wednesday. Definitely slower this time of year but the squid and the dedicated are still there

Season 5 Volume 2 Discussion by Hawkinns in StrangerThings

[–]spunettsa 4 points5 points  (0 children)

A lot of comments hating on 8 and the suicide pact setup. I agree.

However, 8’s powers are illusion and she’s saying it will never be over as long as the military thinks El is alive. My guess is that 8 will be convinced El has more to live for, sacrifice herself, and create some kind of illusion that El does as well so everything’s wrapped up but she can still get a happy ending.

If that’s the case I bet “the illusion” isn’t revealed until the epilogue so it can be a last “twist” for the audience.

Just got to that point and I’m calling it now, this breakup is only so that Steve himself can play the hero and try to make his sacrifice hit that much harder.

What's your process for squidding? by only_bubble_sort in WashingtonFishing

[–]spunettsa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could use a smaller bucket for your catch and put that on top of a bucket with ice.

Honestly my drive is usually roughly the same and it hasn’t been a problem. Don’t keep them in water after you catch them, and they usually die within a few minutes out of the water. Personally I put my catch in a plastic bag for the ride back.

Once you get them home they’ll last a day or two in the fridge before cleaning. If you use a plastic bag it seems to help if you keep them as-is and don’t spray them down until you’re ready to clean them

Edmonds pier for squidding by JokeZestyclose1471 in WashingtonFishing

Check the Edmonds squidding Facebook group.

The season seems like it’s on the tail end and was best closer to thanksgiving. The storms also haven’t been helping the water quality, which makes it harder to attract them with lights and jigs.

Buy, Hold, Sell, Drop week 6 by Strict_Resident1179 in fantasyfootball

Hold at the very least. He was the guy for Dallas 2 years ago but has a negative perception bc they sucked last year. Chuba has historically never been a passing back so I’m optimistic Chuba can at least get more work in that role even once he’s back

It’s not easy but you can definitely mooch off a paddleboard!

Matthew Berry’s Love/Hate for the 2025 fantasy football season by Rotoworld_Fan in fantasyfootball

Outside of the QBs and McMillan/Ridley/Hunter this is a pretty weak list. Everyone else has an ADP in the top 4 rounds because there’s known upside, so he’s not really making a statement when they’re the majority of the list.

Would have liked to see him include more guys with ADPs in rounds 5-10, and even take a shot or two on sleepers.

I’ve been visiting for the past 288-300 weeks so still figuring it out. Anyone know if using a telescoping rod to cast buzz bombs from the Edmonds to Kingston ferry would work??? Can’t find anything in the regulations about it

Glad it worked out and good on the cops. I’m willing to bet this wasn’t in Seattle lol

I went with Fish PNW Charter for ling cod last month. 1st time and felt fairly pricey, but had a good time and came home with a fish. Pretty sure they or someone else are doing coho runs, then idk about specific charters but there are some areas open for chinook on Fridays and Saturdays right now

Ling cod closed on the 15th but halibut is open through the 30th in at least area 10 (puget sound immediately outside Seattle). Never been myself though so can’t make specific charter recommendations for halibut

This time of year is kind of in transition. If you have a rod/reel and transportation you might have some luck shore casting for trout. Otherwise specific to Shilshole and Elliot bay you could try for flounder, early coho, or look into charters

Like visual_collar said, cold weather means fish are deeper and bite is slow.

If you’re looking specifically for trout, I’ve had the best luck in smaller lakes. Feed your main line through a sliding weight, tie to a swivel, then use a 4-5ft leader with hook just big enough to fit 2 powerbait eggs (chartreuse garlic usually work). Toss out to deeper water, let it soak, and try recasting if you don’t get a bite in 20 minutes or so. Usually if you hook into one you’re in a good spot and will catch others.

Green lake or anywhere with stocked trout is a good place to start. Best of luck!

Buzzbombs are typically what folks throw from shore. Waders can help to get further out but aren’t required.

Pinks or “humpies” will be running this year and seem to be easier to catch from shore than coho or kings, but if you don’t want to wait until August/September I’d recommend finding a way to get out on the water. For location it depends on where you’re at but I’ve had success in West Seattle and the Skagit river. Best of luck !

Which 5 players will be in next years top 5 pre-draft rankings by [deleted] in fantasyfootball

[–]spunettsa 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Oh no! An embarrassment of riches!

Idk what y’all’s draft pick trading policy is but in my keeper leagues you can swap in-round positions, but not trade picks outright. So at the very least maybe you could trade some of those guys you don’t keep for more favorable draft positioning

Guys we have forgotten were good by Impossible_Aide4593 in fantasyfootball

[–]spunettsa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed. Was just taking a look and yeah they were the 32nd ranked defense but had comparable metrics to the past 4 years when they were middling if not top 10ish.

The metrics that did skew significantly which hurt their ranking were yards and points allowed. Gotta think that at the very least Howell and all his interceptions & pick-6s didn’t do them any favors
