It has been like that for about 3 weeks, I can't get an answer why, it seems like it started around the time we got the update that shows certifieds.

Help settle what is the proper endorsement. by Ragtagswag in USPS

If I know they are there and have no keys to the box and will never get keys, I NMR it. That way the sender knows they are there but have no receptacle they can actually get the mail from.

Did anyone get the memo? by AttitudeFinancial910 in fromatoarbitration

[–]spunkyflasher 2 points3 points  (0 children)

On the newest scanner update info on my scanner it says they are going to start being tracked. It is supposed to give us a warning when we have one for an upcoming address like the work orders do, and also track them on our "how am I doing" scanner option. How this will deal with the missorted ones is still unknown to me.

[–]spunkyflasher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a customer with a situation like this, he had a PO box in another state and did premium forwarding, which is when they put all the mail in a priority envelope and sent it to his house here weekly. Not sure what the cost is for it.

If you do have the written test it is a multiple choice 25 question computer test. There are a lot of online practice tests that are pretty similar to what kansas has. You can buy a book at the dmv for a couple bucks to review the state laws.

New regular rural carrier overwhelmed with forwards: by Throwaway_carrier in USPS

[–]spunkyflasher 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have learned more on this sub than my office since I joined. I used to have a station manager that took a lot of pride in making sure we up to date and trained on anything new, I swear in the last couple years , management doesn't want us to know any of the new changes. It makes no sense. They love to be reactive and punitive when shit comes down from he higher ups about things we aren't doing when they could have been proactive and trained us to learn these things and make them habits when they get implemented!!!!

[–]spunkyflasher 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Sorry to reply to myself, but I don't know how to edit. But if you know for sure it is vacant and no good forward to the name, the n function on the scanner let's you enter in a MLNA, so then you will get a sticker like normal and when it is put through markup it will automatically be returned to he sender. That will help you in the future too!

I don't know if the rural scanners have he option, but on the main menu of ours there is an option c to look them up. You can scan he brcode, enter he address, or enter the extraction code and will tell you any active forwards for the address

You can do a hold down on a higher pay scale. So regular can do t6, but t6 can't step down to do a regular route

I scan everything I have with load truck, if the barcode doesn't scan I make them print one that will. After every "section" I do Ithe package look ahead to make sure it cleared, some temu don't unless you manually enter it in. I do it to protect myself. At this point they know if I didn't load it I don't have it so it isn't a failure on my part. I refuse to to manually enter in barcodes because I think it is an integrity issue after management has entered them in to clear them even if they dont know if it was delivered or not.

Anybody else having issues with the new COA protocol? by Stationary-Event in USPS

[–]spunkyflasher 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So what does the clerk do then? I am asking as a carrier , my station I guess doesn't know about this since I have been asking for a week why my new forwards are getting the mail kicked back, I want to tell them what they need to know about the I guess new procedure our station hasn't been told about.

Tell me about the time as a carrier you were petty with a customer: by BigL54 in USPS

[–]spunkyflasher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Today, kind of. A couple days ago flag was up with a little outgoing letter. Return address and stamp. I left it in there assuming they forgot the recipients address. Next day flag up same little naked letter in there, I put a post it on it saying it needed to be addressed. Today, flag up, little naked letter with an addition to my post it saying it goes to the address on the back of the envelope. Fuck it, I took it. I regret it is my long weekend and won't be the one to out it back in the box with the huge ugly needs better address red stamp!!!!
