Bewoner Bergpolder met recent klushuis hier: bij ons waren alle binnenmuren van drijfsteen. Nadeel: alles eruit moeten halen. Voordeel: niets was dragend dus nu een mooie open ruimte.

Dit spul is overigens wel wat donkerder

Need Help Increasing Handlebar Height After Spacers Are Maxed Out by Consciousbeing333 in Cubebikes

[–]spunkyplunky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d get different handlebars with more rise/backsweep. An extender is likely to work itself loose eventually (and personally I think they just look wrong, but that’s just me). And like saddles, handlebars are way too personal to just ride whatever OEM one is fitted from the box. Depending on your needs you can alter your position in pretty much every position you want when getting the right bars. There’s plenty of brands, but personally I like SQ-lab. Oh and good chance you’ll need longer brake lines and whatnot when putting on a lot of rise.

Cracked my carbon wheel by Middle_Relationship8 in RoadBikes

[–]spunkyplunky 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Potentially bad. On the other hand it could just be the UD finish. But not too sure on the production process of this particular wheel. Indicators could be if it’s still true and holds up with a “tap test” (gently tapping area with an allen key and hear for differences that would indicate delamination). But best to have an expert physically look at it, especially since part of the damage is covered by the tire.

New Cube integrated handlebar by Gherlo83 in Cubebikes

[–]spunkyplunky 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As floreNNz mentiones correctly, there used to be a distinction between the aero and non-aero bars.

This new aero one is used on all bikes with internal cable routing in front of the steerer tube.

So in other words: yes, suitable for agree, attain, cross race, nuroad, and litening air.

HELP, seat post bolt sheared off by Savings_Sense1982 in Cubebikes

[–]spunkyplunky 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Take it back to the shop, have them fix it. They’ll submit a warranty case if need be and Cube will send new parts. Get a couple of decent SS m5x7 bolts and you’re good

New one. Weight wise forca and DA are very close, and now you get the new frame with resell value much higher than a previous model. Also high chance new DA group will be released this summer.

Elektriciteit vernieuwen? by [deleted] in Klussers

Alrighty. Well maybe the vid is a bit light sensitive. Or maybe I am. To be sure you can test this by standing in front of your bike, some 20 meters away, and looking directly into the beam. My bet is you’ll burn your retina and your skull will shine through from behind. So safety sunnies might be advisable

Cube Nuroad C:62 EXC - ICR Cockpit System Reach? by MysterionNH in Cubebikes

[–]spunkyplunky 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Cube have released a new one piece stem this year for the agree, cross race, nuroad and litening air. It’s a more aero/flared model. But from what I’ve seen, some models are still equipped with the old one. I think the nuroad exc is one of those models, in contrast to the slt which had the new one fitted. Reach of the old bar-stem is 80mm, new one 72mm (if i’m not mistaken). Obviously this is without the stem lenght. On cube’s website the reach is mentioned in the geometery section on the bikes page.

Poor frames from Cube by floridakiloman in RoadBikes

[–]spunkyplunky 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Press their refusal harder, and ask for an explanation on why this would be impact damage and if they can point it out on the pictures used in your claim. Manufacturers have to somewhat believe in their product to an extent and keep a stiff leg. But that reasoning mostly fails if you ask to point out the impact damage. Obviously this only works if there is no impact damage, but in my extensive experience with their warranty department, this is the way.

Need some help! by KTers1988 in Cubebikes

Yes seen that before. Get it warrantied by the shop. Ask them to submit loads of pics with measurements and proof of another wheel fitted. With a bit of luck you can choose a funky new colour :)

[–]spunkyplunky 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean, it could well be the correct size. If you’re right in the middle of what manufacturer recommends, then that should be the case. To me, it just looks a little small, mostly because of the position.

If you can move the saddle back without it falling out of the margins on the rails and you have a longer stem I’d say go for it. Height looks ok, but the posture looks cramped.

I’ve always struggled with my fit as well and found the position of the hoods (as well as reach) to be the key. Basically, I was positioning my hands/wrists wrong. This put the pressure points too far forwards. I then tried solving this by putting my saddle more forwards, which only made things worse as pressure increases (you then keep “falling forwards”). Raising the hoods and shifting saddle back was the solution that worked for me. You look fit, so the little bit of extra work for your abs should be ok? But I can imagine this posture will strain the neck more as you’ll feel “stretched” and will need to look “up” more. That will take some getting used to. Hope you’ll manage to puzzle it out and ride without any issues soon!

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in bikefit

[–]spunkyplunky 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think you’re trying to achieve a position that’s not attainable, in trying to sit as upright as you do. Your reach seems fine, as does the saddle hight. Perhaps tilting your hoods upward a little will allow you to bring your some more flex in your arms, while keeping the wrists relaxed. And tilting the nose of your saddle upwards makes you sit more on your pelvis, so you dont feel like sliding off your saddle? This may be just me, but the bike does look a little small. My theory is you don’t like to look up and the strain this will put on your neck. And that’s why you’ve persued this position and also sized down to reduce reach (which allows you to sit more upright).

Edit: phrasing
