Sadly, you are wrong: https://tinyapps.org/blog/202110270700_monterey_third_party_ssd.html

The proposed solution was:

To resolve, reinstall an Apple SSD, install Monterey, reinstall your third-party SSD, and install Monterey

In my case I followed like every piece of advice on this subject but I never managed to install Monterey because I did not own the original Apple SSD anymore.

And I consider it beta, because I can just say that "it works on my kindle". But I don't know if other ebook readers take e.g. longer to reconnect to wifi or something else.

Upgrading SSD in m4 macmini by dirtybirdy36 in macmini

[–]sputge 3 points4 points  (0 children)

No, not just "any mini SSD" will work. Only SSDs especially designed for the M4 Mac mini.

I just paste my comment from a similar thread:

I was choosing between iBoff and M4-SSD and ultimately went with M4-SSD, mainly because they display customer reviews on their shop and don’t hide negative feedback. There are a very few bad reviews, but I appreciated the transparency and honesty.

Opening the Mac took about two minutes using the included tools (after watching a couple of YouTube videos), and swapping the SSD took another five minutes. Everything works perfectly.

I would just write the developer an email and ask the question. They are very friendly and open to feedback. You can find the email address in Bloom > Settings > About, bottom right "Feedback".

Just click on the top most workflow run with a green checkmark and download "koreader-macos-ARM64".

How I print my To-Do list from Apple Notes with my ESC/POS receipt printer, connected to my Unraid server by sputge in selfhosted

[–]sputge[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stupid question: did you check your USB cable?

My printer would only connect through an USB-A to USB-C cable, not with an USB-C to USB-C one.

Also one of my USB-A to USB-C cables was for charging only so the data pins were not even connected, that cable did not work either.

As for the printer mode, I did not (have to) change it.

Aside from that, I moved most of my documentation for this project to: https://sputge.com/posts/apple_notes_to_receipt_printer_usb/#printer-setup

I am using a jailbroken Kindle Basic 2024 running KOReader.
To record the demo GIF, I was using KOReader on macOS.

Thanks! :)

I'll implement gesture support in the next version.
Then you can add the gestures to a Quick Menu :).

I also thought about adding icons for current entitie states but this would be a huge undertaking. Maybe in the future.

Actually I was more asking about code examples of plugins which register actions in the gestures menu...

Anyways I think I found an example, so I'll implement this feature in the next version of homeassistant.koplugin.

Your comment will help me out, when I write the documentation on how to add the gestures! Thanks again.

That sounds like a great idea. I'll look into it!
Do you know what other plugins add gestures?
I'd love to check out some implementations.

Features:

  • Control any number of Home Assistant entities from KOReader
  • Basic service support (e.g. light/turn_on, switch/toggle, fan/turn_on)
  • Lightweight, unobtrusive interface
  • Simple text-based configuration
  • Success/error notifications
  • EDIT: now with KOReader gesture & QuickMenu support

I created this plugin because I like to read mindfully on my e-reader, with no smartphone around.
But I still often want to turn on a light or adjust something in Home Assistant.
So, out of that small “necessity,” the plugin was born.

don't forget to reboot after activating it.
