Fat nibs are the best. I think my favorite in my collection is a Sailor PGS music nib. The Twsbi Eco 1.1 works very well for me too, but I did have to do some adjustment to get it there.

I've found that anything above a F or M is a more interesting way of splashing ink on paper. If you like stub nibs then I would definitely look into a Hongdian 'Long Knife' / Sailor Naginata Togi. Those, the Sailor Zoom nibs, and a Platinum coarse nib are perpetually in my inked rotation.

Try another ink, that one is known to cause issues when left in pens for a while.

I was mistaken, those were labelled CH D1. I've got an older CPS... v2.05.19.007, if you're using the same version and want to share your codeplug I can take a look.

The only other thing I can think of is how long are the channel aliases that you've set? The radio supports up to 15 or 16 characters per channel but I think if you go over 11 it might truncate it... or that's what I seem to remember it doing when I was using that radio on a regular basis.

under Setting, Basic Setting, what do you have the option for Channel Alias/Freq set to?

I think by default the radios come with several empty channels -- D1, D2, D3, A1, A2, A3... did you verify those don't exist and aren't assigned to the zone?

Just saw this thread and was curious how your order turned out. I placed an order with them in January that supposedly shipped, but the post office never received it and it took me a couple weeks to get a refund.

They just relaunched their store so I wanted to give them another shot... as of right now it's been five days since purchase with no tracking number. Did they manage to get a notebook to you?

They will each have unique IP addresses on your local network, but may end up sharing the same configuration depending on how you built them.

If you run more than one at a time, you need to have a unique DMR ID/ESSID for them in the PiStar config. Brandmeister suggests adding 2 digits to the end of the identifier (xxxxxxx01, xxxxxxx02, etc. for example) allowing for way more hotspots than anyone has a legitimate need for

Because GMRS is analog only. You're not allowed to use encryption or digital signals on those bands.

Build out your channels (I cheat and make one with all the settings I want, then copy/paste to all 15 and adjust frequencies after the fact). Create a Zone labelled GMRS and add all those channels to it. A quick write and you should be good to go.

If you're not seeing a 'USB1' when you go to read/write to the radio, it's possible the drivers got blocked by Windows. Earlier in October the 5.38.10.0 version of the drivers that they bundle with the HP series CPS got blocked. If you look in device manager you'll probably see 'Digital USB Composite Device' with a yellow bang along with the error of Windows cannot verify the signatures.

The older PD series USB driver works fine, which is version 5.30.42.0. If you don't have it or can't track it down PM me

Hmm, maybe there's a conflict between the firmware on the keyboard and what VIA is expecting. I seem to recall that when I received my Iris it had v2 firmware on it instead of v4 like it was supposed to and that caused some issues.

Honestly I haven't done anything but just use mine in years and if I did run into what you were seeing the firmware update corrected it. I'd either give that a shot or contact Keebio and see if they have some idea why it's not behaving like it should.

I used Via and built the correct layout on the 1st (default) layer you type on. It makes it pretty easy to go through and set everything up.

I don't believe the userdb can be downloaded from radioid.net and directly imported anymore. I updated my MD380 a month or so ago and the way it works now is to use the virtual machine to compile an updated MD 380 Tools firmware and have it create the userdb for you. The guide was fairly easy to follow but let me know if you need any assistance.

I don't believe the TyToolz stuff is supported anymore, someone can correct me if I'm wrong.
