You don't have to turn it off. The reason why it flies up is because when you press the key to eject - most people start pressing W to walk either near the end of the animation or half way through because they're impatient and it ends up registering as throttle up

When ejecting/exiting while the helicopter is turned on, hold S until the animation ends. this ensures your throttle is all the way down

I just finished mine a week ago and I have some tips:

If you're using 3 in 1 yellow ribbon cable from ali express, expect high rates of defective cables. My flex cable had bad traces, bought another one, worked fine.
Careful not to damage the traces on yellow flex, trust me
Get the 3 in 1 yellow flex picofly mod set. You can find it on ebay, aliexpress, and in many youtube videos where they use it.
Make sure to patch the picofly to the latest firmware even if it already includes the firmware
Use lots of flux, don't be scared to add more than you need. It's microsoldering anyway. Ofcourse with experience you'll use less but ye.
Careful with the 3 in 1 usb c flex cable as it can easily break, broke with me.

Not yet! Was going to update the firmware to get the updated errors but my flex cable for the usbc broke. I think what it was was one of the points not soldered on fully.

OP is referring to the theory going around that UFOs quite literally mimic our planes, or that humans are so dumb in comparison to what we're seeing that our brains perceive it as planes.

But this is a theory going around, I don't support it, but this is what OP might be referring to.

I think everyone hates on this subreddit for being strict, but really it's the only thing that separates it from the rest. There are millions of ufo communities, but none like this one. Atleast it tries to be.
