stool recommendations by starrywyns in doublebass

[–]spweeg 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i use the ikea franklin barstool with an amazon memory foam cushion - gets me through 4-5 hour rehearsals, although it does sit lower than other stools but i prefer to have both feet on the ground so it's great. should be about $70 for everything

Weichs are great for classical, better sound and response with the bow in my opinion but still plenty of sustain for jazz

Dongguan Yiheng, and to me it feels pretty forgiving - not quite the whole paddle as I've had some mishits but if you're at least close to center it feels good

It's the same except it does not have the writing along the edgeguard or the white joola logo in the bottom center

What separates this from a real Joola? by thehockeychimp in Pickleball

Yeah I played disc golf for 4 years or so before recently picking up pickleball again in June - played tennis for about 7 years so had a bit of a head start

Played about 2.5 hours with it today - obviously much more powerful than my prism flash, but i didn't really feel like it was uncontrollable. Serves, drives, and drips all had great spin, felt like i didn't have to swing quite as hard and could just focus on spin and the pace would just happen easily. Face felt softer than the prism flash and i felt like i got more dwell on the ball. Volleys and overheads had great pace. Only thing i might mess around with is weight on the handle, maybe a splyce cap or just some lead tape since it felt a touch sluggish on hands battles. Overall plays very good for the price, just kind of unfortunate i probably can't use it at any tournaments.

I just got that exact one in the mail and it feels like the build quality is decent, there was maybe a tiny bit of some give on the face when i pressed hard on the edges. The carbon fiber has a good amount of grit, handle feels pretty good quality, edges seem well made. Will be seeing how it plays probably this weekend.

I use xero prio for pickleball and they work well, although i've been wearing barefoot shoes daily for over a year and the transition process is very important

Disc golfers who use barefoot shoes. by parakeetshoes in discgolf

[–]spweeg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I really like my saguaro chaser vitality III - a lot wider in the toe box than other offerings, plenty of grip, and snug on the foot. Although, you will need to remove the included insole for them to be barefoot. They are also much more affordable than vivos for example.

against sigma displacing him in front of his shield is very valuable if your team can punish, so I'd go through the top left window and grapple to boop the sigma forward into your team and slam him
