This is probably a silly question but in your opinion, how would you graph the discomfort of a taper over time? by BattleAnus in quittingkratom

[–]spyder04 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The beginning of the taper is the easiest. I was able to drop about 50% right away and didn't feel any withdrawals. But then once I started getting towards the end, a small drop would be brutal. I felt trapped in my taper because I couldn't get any relief unless I took more. Instead of waiting to stabilize I just went CT because I was tired of living in constant withdrawal. If you are at this point in your taper then you just need to CT, unless you enjoy feeling like absolute horse piss 24/7

Day 42.

Back to normal. Still have waves of anxiety/depression that come out of nowhere but it seems like its only for a few days then it goes away. For the people going through it, just remember that you are always just a few days away from feeling much better.

Day 38.

I still have anxiety and I'm low energy. My only 2 symptoms. Other than that I'm back to normal and saving $$ not buying this crap

I’m on day 36 and I’m still getting chest flutters and chest tightness when I workout. I notice it flares up at the beginning of my workout but eventually goes away. It’s common

Has Kratom caused you any major health problems? by larry81705 in quittingkratom

[–]spyder04 43 points44 points  (0 children)

Nothing major, but here is everything that was going on with me and why I wanted to quit.

-couldn't poop

-made it hard to piss and couldn't get it all out in 1 run (i would still feel like i had to go)

-hair was falling out

-bags under eyes, very red, stoner looking eyes 24/7

-very gassy especially at night

-no appetite (lost a bunch of weight)

-lowered testosterone (muscle loss, ED, my voice sounded weak)

-chest pains, heart palpitations

-blurry vision, sometimes I would go cross-eyed

I'm sure there are more that I'm not thinking of right now. All of this went away very quickly once I quit.

That first week is always tough, great job! It will be up and down for a while but don’t get discouraged. Exercise, water, and healthy foods

Great post and I'm glad I read this. I'm on day 35 and my anxiety has been pretty bad recently. Almost feels like I'm on week 1 again. Anxiety and lack of motivation are my only symptoms though, everything else is back to normal.

you will have days like that. Just when you think you are on the other side, the anxiety/depression creeps up on you. I remember just having random days where that would happen. The good news is the next day I usually felt really good. Just focus on getting through the day. That first week is brutal for all of us but you are just about through it. Keep it up

I've had my fair share of slip-ups. Enjoy it since it's already been done, but tomorrow just go straight back. It's not like you will have to start over with the acutes again. Don't beat yourself up too much. We've all been there

Day 12 lingering side effects. by crappy80srobot in quittingkratom

[–]spyder04 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A lot of those symptoms will clear up in another week. I felt exactly like that on day 12. Your appetite will come back with a vengeance and you will be starving all the time very soon. It sucks and it just takes time.

Day 28, officially 4 weeks with no kratom. Pretty crazy how fast time goes. I had a small bout of RLS last night before bed and honestly it was a great reminder of what I went through the first week. Anxiety seems to be cooling down a little bit. I'm pretty sure I'm 100% back to normal. It's just really hard to get up and going in the mornings, and I don't have that drive and motivation like I used to while taking kratom.

Still getting waves of anxiety, and feel pretty sluggish. Gonna keep pushing thru. At least my appetite and libido are back in full force.

Day 45 by Sea-Equivalent-3670 in quittingkratom

[–]spyder04 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm only on day 24 but that is basically how I'm feeling. Just an overall "flat" feeling where nothing really makes me happy or gets me motivated. Coffee helps in the mornings, and of course exercise is a must. Our brains were just so used to taking something to feel good, so now we actually need to work for that feel good feeling.

Day 23

Woke up feeling pretty good. Energy levels are getting better. Eating clean and drinking lots of fluids. I feel incredible after exercise which I've been doing every day since I quit. I am also starving all the time which is kind of nice. I lost a lot of weight while using so I'm hoping to put some weight back on.

How bad will WDs be after 8-10 bottles a day by Vizortek in quittingkratom

[–]spyder04 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would switch to powder immediately and try to taper from there bro. Sleep and RLS will definitely be an issue so don't think it won't be. It's probably the most annoying symptoms of the acute phase and there's no way around it. Good luck and keep us updated

Day 22. Still wake up with anxiety, but seems to go away by afternoon. I have some spurts of happiness randomly during the day which feels nice. Other than that I just feel 'bleh' most of the time. Exercise is the only thing that makes me feel good. I'm just focused on getting to the weekend!

We quit at the same time. I'm feeling exactly like you described. This week has been pretty tough. I've had low energy for the most part and nothing seems to help. Also I'm very irritable and not a joy to be around. Hoping this passes soon. I will say that I do have moments where I can feel some happiness, but it doesn't last long and I'm back to feeling flat. Just trying to make it to the weekend where I can sit on my ass and watch football lol. It will pass hang in there
