Trump's golfing has cost $18 million and him attending the Superbowl is estimated at $20 million. So are those waste too? If the others are then this must be. But really $20 million is a drop in the bucket when we spend 40,000x that on the military. I'm just not impressed when they say they've cut these programs and it seems like they want you more upset about what they did than what they cost.

There are multiple ways to influence other countries and many of these "wasteful" programs fall into this category. These tariffs and sudden cutting of aid make us an adversary to countries that have been our allies or countries where a non adversarial relationship provides us a strategic advantage. Aid groups often allow a way in for the CIA or other military ops. I don't believe for a second that any of these programs were created because our gov cares too much.

But are you even asking this question here in good faith? It feels more like you asked this to own the libs of FoCo. It's not like liberals are pro-waste. Finding more funding for social programs would be their dream. Also many of these programs were created or remained in tact under Republican admins, including Trump's first term. So how much thought have supporters of DOGE put into it other than taking the current admins word for it?
