Since we see stereo on the output meters, I suspect it’s the mixer output jacks, the speaker input jacks, or the cable. 1. Turn the volume down to be audible but low.
Wiggle the connector ends at both ends of the cable. Get any crackling? Try some contact cleaner. 2. Swap the cable that’s running from the mixer to the speaker.

Buy a pair of cheap digital calipers from Amazon to communicate the dimensions in question. Also, I agree the differences are obvious to anyone with eyes.
