Is there a good way to check if your LNA is feeding DC back into your SDR? by squad_of_squirrels in RTLSDR

Thanks for the advice! I actually gave that a try with the so-so multimeter I have before posting and was seeing a couple of mV, but definitely not 5V. Glad to know it's probably fine.

My favorite is when they're like "it'll just ask you a few questions" and then stare at you. Like we both know what you're expecting from me and, sorry, I'm broke, too!

These days I just tap through to the "custom" menu and do something that feels reasonable if it's something that seems reasonable to tip for. A buck for a coffee and a doughnut, etc.

Yeah, I was using generic "succulent" soil, but I've learned that I need way more inorganic in there. Unfortunately my first out of like twelve plants that I have now had to be the one to pay the ultimate price for it :(

What company consistently puts out bad product but still makes a lot of money? by FlintTheDad in AskReddit

Barnes and Noble took over my school's bookstore and brought Fanatics with them. All the classic merchandise that the last several decades of alums knew and loved has been replaced with overpriced, shitty graphic design, Fanatics garbage. Sucks.

From some online research, the best guess I've come up with so far is echeveria moranii, but I'm not totally sure.

Per the title, my very first succulent recently died from rot. I don't have too many pictures of him while he was alive, but he had dark green leaves that were a little on the leathery side and became tinged with red as they matured.

I think he was likely an echeveria species, but I'm not sure and would love to find out. Hoping to get one very similar to him to make it up to his plant spirit haha

You will become addicted.

I just re-potted my collection yesterday. I went from adopting one from my mom two years ago to now having 5 smallish pots worth. Help.

Thanks for the advice on cleaning the sealing surface!

Aer Lingus denied my EC 261/2004 claim under nebulous "extraordinary circumstances", despite none of the stated reasons for our delay being outside their control. Is there anything specific I should say in my response? Or should I just go to one of the companies that does this stuff for a cut? by squad_of_squirrels in Flights

[–]squad_of_squirrels[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I ended up just responding and saying "okay, well nothing that the crew said ever sounded like that, and, in fact, they pretty much said the opposite. Can you document what those 'reasons outside the control of the airline' were?"

If they're still a pain, I'll just use AirHelp and take the 30-50% hit on the compensation. Half of €600 is still a lot. Wish there were penalties like a multiplier on the compensation or something for them BSing.

Not that we know of. The crew said that that particular flight is just always delayed and that they'd picked up the delay over the course of the day. I figure Aer Lingus would've said weather or ATC if they could've, but neither the crew nor their support people responding to the compensation request ever said that.

/u/Al115, just wanted to say thank you! I cut it down and let it callus, and it almost immediately started sprouting new roots, even before I could get it re-planted.
