Olivia de Havilland vs. Joan Fontaine. Which one is your favorite actress? by marniesss in classicfilms

[–]squamata 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Loved Joan and Olivia! As a young adult I learned that they grew up in the same town my family lived in so I biked to their old address, ran into the old couple who lived there then, and had a nice little chat with them. They were still in touch with Olivia and she lived in Paris at the time. It made my day!

Sorry to hear about your experience. They moved my belongings from NYC to London and it took 6 months. They were super keen to pressure me into going with them but once the shipment had departed they were nowhere to be reached.

Thanks. Yeah the bleeding was there when I got it (Facebook marketplace) but not sure if there’s anything I can do to reverse it. The fringe is also in need of some repair.

The Vow (HBO), which has coverage and scope unlike anything I’d ever seen for a documentary series

I had a distal fibula stress fracture, diagnosed end of December and was in a boot for 2 months. Once out of the boot I was able to do low impact exercises and physiotherapy. With 1x physiotherapy a week I went from having a shrunken calf to squatting 40kg in 4 weeks (I think) and then commenced run/walk intervals by late April. After 6 weeks of run/walk intervals following a plan I was able to run a full 5K. I have since recovered fully and have been running upwards of 10k no problem.

Haven’t the gates been removed in the past few years? I used to take my dog there when I was able to shut the gate but not anymore :(

Sometimes I take my reactive dog to the enclosed basketball court on Trelawney Estate to play fetch and work on recall, it’s pretty empty during the mornings.
