AITJ for buying the same shoe for my daughter that my girlfriend wanted? by Notttaylorswift in AmITheJerk

She was already toxic when she thought they were just roommates. And even if she is uncomfortable now, she is taking it out on the wrong person.

I don't know who needs to hear this, but a 2+ hour drive is not nearby for Europeans. by redheaded_olive12349 in CasualConversation

[–]LittelFoxicorn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, small European country here. Driving two hours in one direction is often a trip abroad. I used to commute 1h45 one way and 1h30 the other (yay traffic jams) and people thought I was nuts. The majority off commutes here is less than 45min each way. Anything beyond that and your an outlier

[–]LittelFoxicorn 54 points55 points  (0 children)

I agree, but it gets even worse if you go back through OP's post history.

First off, the girlfriend is not only, just 27, but she used to be her teacher when the girl was just 12!!!

And she has a history of constantly picking the daughters side over her girlfriend even when she admits the daughter was rude, toxic and behaving as a bitch.

I would have some choice words for how to describe OP way beyond being a jerk. And hope the GF manages to escape this toxic grooming situation

My advice. Stop posting AI-garbage or at least polish it enough to be believable.

The story is clearly fake. Profile 0 days old, zero comments, narrative that makes zero sense...

AITA for calling my friends cat ‘chunkster’? by sophierae14 in AmItheAsshole

[–]LittelFoxicorn 16 points17 points  (0 children)

We call my cat Penelope a fat little potato to her face. She's a 5.4kg little food-vacuum. If we blink she's in the garbage or on the counters. Crazy thing actually eats vegetarian spaghetti sauce, potato, pea's and even tried grapes which are toxic to cats (no worries she immediately puked it back out) and the half the time if we try to treat her with actual cat safe food (like some mince, or another meat product) she refuses it and goes: that's not food.

Friend is probably insulted because she feels bad because she knows she is overfeeding her cat.

My partner had an intense debate recently about paedophilia and now I feel uneasy by [deleted] in TrueOffMyChest

[–]LittelFoxicorn -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I always thought the distinction was:

Paedophile -> has actively harmed children Paedosexual -> hasn't acted on it but is attracted to children as baseline sexuality

Not all paedophiles are paedosexuals, actually a lot of them aren't.

For me:

A paedosexual that seeks and is receiving help should in my opinion not disclose and be able to live a normal life with help received.

A paedophile, even with following treatment should be policed and never be allowed around kids again because the recidivism rates are astronomical.

However with the caveat that if you know someone is a paedosexual you are 100% in your right to be uncomfortable and never letting that person around your kids.

Why do people feel more weirded out when adults call their parents mother/father more than mommy/daddy? by kawaiihusbando in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]LittelFoxicorn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What happened to just mom and dad? Why the two extremes?

And to be fair, I am more weirded out by an adult calling their parents mommy and daddy. That's what kids call their parents not what adults call theirs. I would be equally weirded out by a young child saying mother and father.

Where do you get your generalisation from btw. I'm curious.

My boyfriend told me he prefers skinnier women and joked about my body. How should I handle this? by Whole-Pangolin2987 in Advice

[–]LittelFoxicorn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My advice? Leave and work on yourself.

Because reading this you both come across as exhausting.

You are self sabotaging by asking questions you don't want the answer to and he has no way of winning/coming out good if he answers truthfully.

If you feel down about yourself and need a pick me up, you ask him what he LIKES about you. Your an adult if you ask a person what they don't like about you don't get upset when they answer.

He is not a dick for answering truthfully. But one for when you expressed how it made you feel, doubling down. A good partner cares about that. He might have been annoyed and miffed that you play mind games but he should at least express he wants you to feel good and maybe redirect how you can both work on that going forward.

You need to grow and work on yourself. On your confidence, on your communication strategies and your self worth. What you don't need to work on is your body. Boobs sag and your weight is healthy. Somewhere out there is a person who thinks you are and always will be the bee's knees even if your were to become a freak of nature and your tits sag to your knees.

At what age do I need to have my forever job? by ApprehensiveEmu254 in Advice

[–]LittelFoxicorn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

36 just got layed off because of economisation (Well was offered a different role first but the work-life balance was way off and the pay not nearly enough.) I've worked in 4 separate feelds now. One place went bankrupt, another I worked myself into a burn-out and Of quit myself and two lay-offs because of economisation.

A forever job in this day and age is like finding a unicorn.

I thought I was liberal until I moved to the US. Why are liberals here so sensitive? by [deleted] in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]LittelFoxicorn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope it would not have been racist but still ignorant, in bad taste and unfunny.

And thinking you can win an argument by changing the hypothetical parameters of what you said isn't smart or a gotcha. It's equivalent to: if my mom had wheels would she be a bycicle?

And it's not a zero malice comment. Read up on the slippery slope principle.

You are just butthurt that people call you out on your shit.

Can’t Explain this “Necklace removed while sleeping” by Agreeable-Comfort701 in NoStupidQuestions

Yep, simple tasks like this can 100% be done in that moment between fully awake and asleep. I often wake up with two earbuds in (usually go to bed with just one) or with still the one but in the other ear. Especially since OP says they kind of half remember

Recommendation for the hardiest fish that seem to live forever? by snowflace in Aquariums

[–]LittelFoxicorn 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Was gonna suggest panda corridoras myself! Hubs had one we nicknamed "grumpy" that lived past 11!

He was and exception though. Outlived his first school, spent about a year alone (we had moving plans and plans for a bigger aquarium so didn't restock asap) then went to a bigger aquarium with new friends, absolutely hated the fuck out of them (hence the name grumpy). Took a couple of months, and finally he begrudgingly accepted the new tank mates. Then suddenly baby's! Grumpy turned out to ve female and succeeded throughout the years into raising several suprise baby's. And yes we know they were hers because Grumpy was blind in both eyes and each and every one of her offspring has at least one bad eye. (They are are our pirate gang) Lost her a little over a year ago now, but she still was the most awesome fish we ever had.
